Do not purchase!Put this range in the home we built and very disappointed. We have smelled gas and it continues to get worse. The first repair was a mangled piece that was not exposed and the repair man said could have only been done at the factory. After the repair, we still smell gas. They have sent a repair man but they say it is 'working as intended' so KitchenAid says the only option is for us to replace it. They will give us a credit but it will still cost us $4,000! Why in the world would I spend this money on a company that does not stand behind their product. This oven cost almost as much as my car and now I have to pay even more.

Quality …Not from
Needs ImprovementWe had this range installed in our new home. We closed in November of 2020. First it wasn’t installed properly, and that was repaired. For a “commercial range” this is the most delicate range I have ever owned. I have not cooked a lot during covid, so it has had minimal use. It functions well; however the overall cleaning and care of this range is difficult. The stainless scratches with just the brush of a plastic spatula across it. I have to use a paper towel or very soft cloth to clean the cooktop portion because it scratches if you use anything else. Very disappointed. When I start the family dinners again, this range will be a nightmare to maintain.

Blue Range from
Poorly madeI've had the light blue double oven range for three years. The problems range from minor to ridiculous. All of the rubber feet have come off of the grates, due to "excessive heat." The electric igniter does not work quickly anymore. The light blue paint is chipping on the oven door where "it got too hot,' and it has a burn mark from heat coming out of the oven door. The hinge on the large oven is broken and we have to keep a random tool by the appliance in case the door won't open when I need to get food out. The glass on the oven door has shattered twice while the oven was in use. It is not worth the money.

Love my range, but...I purchased my range when I remodeled my kitchen back in 2017. It's not exactly like this model but it is a dual fuel, water assist model. The controls for the ovens locked up with an error code about 3 years ago. The service guy pretty much replaced every part trying to fix it. It finally turned out to be the main control board. Since then, the oven temperature has not worked properly on the main oven. I end up with uncooked roasts on the regular. My unit model is #KDRU783VSS03. I have viewed some youtube videos of newer model wall ovens that allow you to calibrate the temperature. I cannot find anything regarding my model. Can anyone help?

Cooks well, lacks some important featuresThe range cooks well. However, neither oven has a timer! You are forced to use a cumbersome app to time cooking for BOTH ovens and you cannot override the app on the oven itself (e.g., if you want to turn off the oven when you're done cooking you have to do it on the app if you turned it on via the app). It's so cumbersome and I can easily see how if you're using the app, you may wind up accidentally leaving an oven on. This is not safe! I had to buy a countertop timer to use when baking which is ridiculous given what these ranges cost. Our range also arrived with the left oven door damaged - it will not close correctly as the latch is broken and the door is all dented up. The distributor is repairing, but come on. Do better, Kitchenaid.

RegretsThey removed the timer and the temp gauge, good luck using the darn probe, in favor of an app that is literally a joke. It’s fatally flawed, the app has trouble signing in, buttons work then randomly don’t work, and why is there no timer. I have to use the app, which then may or may not notify me if I change apps to take a call? A joke of a product at this price point, I would have expected this from a Chinese knock off. I’ll never buy kitchenaid again.

Center Attraction to our new kitchenWe had purchased all new Kitchenaid appliances for our kitchen remodel. The 48" dual fuel range was the best decision we ever made. We originally were going to do a 36" but decided to add the griddle and the extra 1/2 oven. This range is the main focus point of the kitchen now and we are loving learning all new recipes and cooking with gas. You feel the quality and soon as you fire it up and use the different knobs and dials. We are loving what the range has done for our kitchen.

Don't waste your moneyWe purchased a 48" Kitchen Aid dual fuel range in our new construction home in 2019. From the first time we used it, the range did not work properly. An error message comes up when you turn on the gas burner and it cuts off the ovens. We have had the repair company come many times to try to fix this. Each time, they come and look at the error message, order a new part and then come back and replace it. They've ordered a variety of parts and nothing has fixed it. We reached a point where we asked for the range to be replaced and were referred back to the appliance company - crickets. We are now looking at replacing the range because I need functioning ovens! This experience has been completely ridiculous for such an expensive appliance. Would never purchase a KitchenAid again.

Looks and works great! Our 48 inch KitchenAid dual fuel range finally arrived and it looks and works great. The ovens heat up very fast and the burners work extremely well. Converting to Propane was easily accomplished by the install crew. Two suggestions for future improvement: The burner caps should be heavier/thicker and should stay in place in a better fashion. The front bottom plate leg facade are very flimsy and do not stay firmly in place and could be designed much better. Overall, the range looks very nice and works extremely well.

New model just delivered. The app that runs this beast is lacking. The probe has been giving me issues since it was installed. The app does not think the probe is inserted and wont send the command to the oven, no way to use the probe cook mode without the poorly designed app. Also the LP conversion orifices did not come with the required sizes to convert it to lp as the manual states. Disappointed overall for $9k
