WHAT IS A TILT-HEAD STAND MIXER?
A tilt-head stand mixer is designed so that the mixer’s head can be tilted back while you add ingredients into the bowl. After you’re done adding ingredients or swapping out bowls or accessories, the tilt head locks back into place. Read an in-depth look at how to use a stand mixer.

TILT-HEAD VS. BOWL-LIFT: WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?
With so many options to choose from, it can be tricky to choose the best tilt-head mixer for your mixing needs. The design of a tilt-head mixer allows you to tilt the mixer’s head back to add ingredients or swap out attachments or bowls. Bowl-lift mixers are designed so that the mixer’s head stays in place and a lever moves the bowl up and down instead. Bowl-lift mixers are great for cooking large batches or with heavy ingredients. Attachments and bowls can be used with both stand mixers and are a great way to enhance your mixer. Make fresh, homemade ice cream with the ice cream maker attachment, use the shave ice attachment to make bingsu or use a pasta press attachment to create your own noodles. For more inspiration on what you can use your attachments for, read our stand mixer attachment buying guide.
