Great looking range with improved performanceI love the look and feel of this new commercial style range. I upgraded recently from my previous KitchenAid commercial range and the performance on this product is much improved. I have had issues with connecting to the app and after about 5 attempts have still not been able to get it to work properly. I didn't plan on using this function frequently however it was still an annoyance that something seemingly simple had relatively no functionality. Having said that, I am still pleased with the product overall and its performance.

Beautiful and Functional Range, buti really wish the internet/remote/app functions were not part of the design. I tried using the App (needed to connect to the wifi, etc.) and it just made me question all of the normal (non-App) manual functions afterwards. I quickly deleted the app, disconnected it from wifi, etc, but now the remote light comes on every time I use the oven. It's annoying and concerning. If you're going to offer a new technology/function, you should absolutely make sure it functions properly before selling it to the public. Especially when it comes to remote functionality and something as critical as a reliable safe oven/range.

Works fine, but sorely misses the markLet's see if KitchenAid deletes this review again.
The range works great as a basic range, but the need for a smartphone to fully utilize the range is absurd! I love my gadgets, but had I known that 70% of the functionality was through a phone app (that rarely works) I would not have purchased this range. Also, the range rattles, one of the burners never wants to light, and the built in meat probe doesn't work.

First time OwnerRattles like a tin can and already had to have service come out. Disappointed giving it cost $4,000. Also, beeps in the middle of the night when my internet goes down. Only way to shut it off was to disconnect from internet. So far, very disappointed.

Problems with burners and oven racksDealer has had to order parts and work on burners twice
Pullout oven rack won’t stay out. Goes back in on its own.
This is dangerous and unworkable to load or unload oven access part way through baking or roasting is impossible.
Dealer ordered new rack. Same problem.

Bad features!I have had this range a couple of months now, and just cannot fall in love with it! The major thing is the hook up to WIFI is necessary to have a clock or timer! I don't use WIFI, and even tho a family member put it on my phone, all it is good for is to chime in the middle of the night when the internet goes off and again when it comes back on! Plus during the day to make you wonder what is happening! The oven door is black with a wimpy light inside so no way to see if your baked food is brown enough, etc. I hate to open the door to check each time. The tinny bottom that hides the screws to level it is cheap material. The other major downside is that to move the range out to clean or whatever, the door has to be removed!! At 81 yrs old and a heavy door, that isn't happening., then the leveling screws have to be raised, so finally the rollers cann reach the floor and the range can be moved out. If a person doesn't have or read the manuel, they would have a heck of a time moving this range. Too many downsides for over a 5,000 range!

Picture a Glossy Model with no BrainI waited a month to get this range, because of Covid it never arrived where I orignally purchased it from. Therefore I ordered it from the KA website and it arrived within a month. I ordered it in red. It's beautiful and if all I'm going to do is look at it, all would be well. My problem with this oven is there is no clock and no timer. Yes, you have them available on the APP, but honestly, do I want to use my phone every time I want to use my stove? NO, I DO NOT. My phone is for checking emails, sending texts, making phone calls and reading I feel KA is trying to force me to use their site. If I needed help with cooking maybe. Honsetly, if I knew this oven didn't have a simple timer I would never have purchased. Its a step backward. To charge this kind of money and not have this simple function is pretty lame. Just because you can add this kind of technology to an oven, doesnt mean you should. On top of this the app is very difficult to even get to work. My husband and I are still trying to get this app to work and we are not ninnies as far as technology is concerned. In addition the tape used to wrap the oven in pulls the paint off the oven. I already have to have a service call to repair the kick plate from unwrapping the oven. So far, less than pleased with my day old oven. SAD.
Also the Kitchen Aid website needs much improvement, the chat portion miuch be a lie. If no employees are working it, they need to take it down. Also very confusing about which numbers to call, if you have Kitchen Aid. Need cleaarer directions. The only positive are the people manning the phones after the forty-five minute wait are professional and helpful.
Be forewarned you cannot track your order until they process your order and they do not process it until several days before shipping. No where on the web page does it say that, again, they need more information on the webpage and if they had that, they would get less calls.

Has great optionsWe bought this KitchenAid Range about 8 weeks ago and with Covid was purchased off a picture. This range is the best. It has several options. It’s a gas range and electric oven. The range has some very cool options like the simmer options on the heat control. Also the pilot light will never go out. The flame pops back on if the burn goes out for some reason. Great safety option.
The oven is also pretty cool. You can run it off your phone. It heats well. Love the convection option. You won’t be sorry for choosing this product.

I expected FAR more from a $5K ApplianceFirst, my pans rock back-and-forth on the burner grates like seesaws. I tried multiple pans from both a high end cast iron maker and a high end stainless maker and they rock back and forth on the grates. It's most notable on the grates with round inserts, but also happens on the fixed grates. The grates on the ~$1K competitor gas range I just replaced were rock-solid. Very disappointing. Second, I'm shocked that an appliance at this price range isn't equipped with the print-shield from KitchenAid. We've been converting to KitchenAid one appliance at a time and had been very pleased with our dishwasher and refrigerator that had the print-shield technology. Given the investment we've already made in other Kitchen Aid units, in order to match in our kitchen we feel stuck with what we have now. I hope our first experience with the oven at least will be better...

Very PrettyRange is beautiful! Waited 6 months for delivery and have already called for service. Trying to love this range. I will update review once the issue is addressed and fixed.
