Beautiful Oven from
Great ProductBrought this oven a month ago. Installed ourselves since the cabinet opening from our old Maytag oven was little wider than the overall dimension of this oven. Had to modify the opening to secure the new oven to the cabinet and cover the gap. The clear glass and internal light allows us to see inside better than our old one. The controls only require a light touch and the display is easy to see. The roll out rack is an awesome feature and makes it easy to insert and remove casseroles. Quieter than our old oven. Preheats at the same rate as our old oven. The beeper is plenty loud when in the high setting. Overall this oven was a great purchase.

Doesn't keep a set temperature, EVER!I have never ever hated an appliance like this oven. If I set it at 425 degrees, and it signals it is ready. Without opening the door, I cancel, push bake, and 425. Tonight it said 395. This is when the actual digital number said 425. I have had this thing for 6 months. I used to enjoy baking so much for family, but I can not depend on this $2,299. oven. I bake cookies for 5 minutes, check the temperature. It is saying 350 on the digital read, but it I cancel, bake and 350, it comes up that it's actually 295. The person who said it took two hours for a baked potato is not exaggerating. I am so disappointed in this oven. We saved 2 years to get this horrible oven.

DisappointingWe have always had Kitchenaid appliances, and we still do, but the convection ovens have a rather disappointing repair need. It breaks with too much steam (like roasting a turkey), when we clean it, when we use it more heavily (like baking Christmas Cookies) and this last time, it just cooled down and won't start again.
When it works I love it.Our last home had one and it was repaired 3 or 4 times in 10 years. When our oven in our new home broke (it was a poor low-end brand) we went with the Kitchenaid again. That was May 2013. I am currently waiting for the repair guy to show up for it's 4th repair in the last 1 1/2 years. I wish there was a lemon law that would require replacing it.

Oven hasn’t worked yet and it’s been a yearI bought this new from Haan Appliance. It never worked properly, and 1 year later, the s customer service STILL has not been able to repair it, replacing part after part, taking 6 months at a time to get parts in. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER buy another Kitchenaid. It’s been a horrible experience. I have to go outside to shut off the breaker and turn it on ever time I need to use the microwave because they are afraid the oven will burn down my house! A YEAR of this! And now they want me to purchase ANOTHER warranty so I can keep dealing with their incompetence and still not have an oven!!!!!!!! KITCHENAID IS HORRIBLE AND I WISH I HAD NEVER BOUGHT IT!

Nothing specialI really only needed a basic oven as I never use convection, programming, etc. but I wanted a wall oven and wanted the design to match my other new appliances. Was very disappointed and frustrated that this oven couldn’t even cook a frozen pizza well when my super cheap apartment oven did so perfectly. Had to buy an oven thermometer and needed to recalibrate this brand new expensive oven to be 20degrees hotter. Cool down fan is loud and stays on forever, annoying. Like the blue interior and the slide-out shelf. Doesn’t strike me as an oven I could rely on for high temp cooking with amazing results. Controls are not at all intuitive to me.

Disappointed in San Jose from
Awful Cooling Fan, Temperature, Stitches on FingerWe bought our KitchenAid during a remodel. The unit is loud and takes forever to heat up and to cool down. I called in for some time with complaints and Kitchen Aid finally replaced the cooling fan -- unfortunately no change in the noise level. They offered for me to buy a new model at a discounted price but refused to replace the unit. When cleaning the oven I sliced my finger on the sharp stamped metal at the bottom of the door. 3 stitches. The repairman shared that an older women had sliced her foot and it required surgery! I'm sitting in the next room and can hear the fan / blower. Think twice before purchasing this product.

Wrong Specs and failed Flush InstallationWe bought this oven to be installed under the countertop in a flush style. The specs suggest for a cabin depth of 24", a countertop depth of 25" - however, once installed we have noticed the oven control panel sticks out 1 3/4" instead of 1" - hence making it visible from under the countertop, and definitively not flush mounted. We need now to either change the countertop, or customize the cabin with a very expensive work. Both options not ideal and not neceesary if we had been provided the right measurements from Kitchenaid! The oven seems nice, but we feel we have been misguided, and worse KitchenAid customer care seems to ignore the issue. we will complain to BBB as well

A problem with the failure of the self-cleaning featureI'm not certain I would recommend it to a friend for one--and only one--reason. After using the oven just once and having some cooking juices drip on the bottom surface and congeal there, we activated the self-cleaning feature. It failed to remove all of the congealed juices and nothing else we tried worked. We actually ran the self-cleaning cycle a second time for longer and a residue still remained, impervious to all efforts to clean it. Otherwise, the wall oven is very attractive and has all the features we wanted. Stylistically, it even blends beautifully with our Viking professional range.

Error code — dead on very first useLiterally the first time I attempted to use the oven, I received an error code (F6E6) after 30 seconds. I tried the suggested fix (cut power, wait, restore power). No joy.
The kicker: KitchenAid customer service says that, even though it was just installed, the purchase date was more than 30 days ago — it may not be under warranty. Seriously? A brand-new oven FAILED ON THE VERY FIRST USE and I may have to pay for a repair? (We're remodeling an entire kitchen, so it wasn't installed immediately.)
Really, the only response from service should have been, "Broken on the very first use? I'm terribly sorry, sir, we'll arrange for someone to be there as soon as possible."
Very, very frustrating.

Buyer bewareBought the oven in July. Nothing but problems. Repairmen sent give you the company line--it's you not the product. KitchenAid knows for a fact that these ovens have a temperature malfunction. KitchenAid and their retailers continue to sell a defective product. For example: it took two hours to bake a potato. Oven set at 350 degrees somewhere in the first hour temperature dropped to 305 degrees. But it's the customers fault. We had to reboot the oven to get it back to its correct temperature, but again its the customer at fault!
