Disappointment. We purchased the KitchenAid brand thinking it would be good quality. Range was installed 3 weeks ago and had a damaged door and drawer. Still not replaced. The drawer is really cheap. The metal is single layer of THIN steel. It is also not level. I'm not sure how that will be fixed. It is difficult to open and close. Pushing it closed feels like the metal will bend on the front of the drawer. My wife had a problem turning on the element knobs because they are difficult to turn. It's a little difficult to see where the elements are located because they are outlined with dark markings. We are disappointed with the purchase.

Beware. Not self cleaning. Customer service poorI bought this stove in June and I am very sorry that I did. I called customer service numerous times about the self cleaning feature, or lack thereof, only to be told, "We know the Aqualift doesn't work." I would never have bought this stove if I had been made aware of this flaw, but the salesman told me I was getting the best of the best and that all of the features were top notch. I have also complained to them, only to be told I have to deal with the manufacturer, and that "We only sell them, we don't use them."I have tried all of the suggestions made to me to clean the oven, but nothing will get the splatters off.

Horrible. 1 star for American made.Yep, aqualift sucks. Does not clean anything! So mad! And, my oven doesnt get hot, takes forever to cook anything, takes twice as long! And that makes the food not turn out right! Bought all kitchenaid appliances. Iam so mad about this. These ovens should be recalled, they are junk! And one more thing...i really dont like my mixer either. Bought the mega mixer too. It never gets the stuff down in the bottom of the bowl mixed up. And yeah i went and bought the other paddle thingy, and still no. So, so mad.
One star for Amrican made, which is one reason why it was purchased so this part makes me sad.

Great top range. Aqua self clean oven is terribleToday is Black Friday. Yesterday the turkey listed to one side of the roast pan while baking and created a mess in the oven. Having had self cleaning ovens for years I did not worry as knew I would clean it today. The aqua self clean process was totally unsatisfactory. I spent the majority of the day sopping up water and scrubbing the interior of the oven. After repeating 4 cleaning cycles I gave up. The oven is still not entirely free of baked on soil. A high temperature self clean is much more efficient and produces a sparkling clean interior. I plan to call Kitchenaid tomorrow and voice a strong complaint. My range is only a few months old and this is the first time i used the self clean function.

Cost-cutting is clearly seenOverall this is an average stove at best. However for the money they are charging it is not worth it whatsoever. Many of the features that you would see on a high end appliance just aren't there anymore. The touchpad feels low quality compared to other older whirlpool appliances. The sheet metal is thin, and it has a very generic look.
The door of the oven slams with a loud rattle of the glass. Making it apparent that it is not sealed very well. Speaking of the door, it does a lousy job of keeping the heat inside and the front of the door gets extremely hot and heats up the kitchen 10 times more than my old stove. I'm very disappointed about this.

Beautiful looking butIt is a beautiful looking stove but...stove top is hard to keep clean, oven takes for ever to preheat and the convection oven takes forever to bake anything. I just don't use it because the timing is so different from regular oven baking. But the worse thing is when I use the oven the front edge of the cooktop and anything sitting on the back of the cooktop gets very hot. I have to keep the grandkids away from it totally or they will get burned. Very disappointed and I bought a complete set of Kitchen Aid.

Unhappy Customer! from
Dim display! We purchased the KitchenAid KFEG500EWH range in October 2023 because we liked the looks of the range. But when we plugged the range the in and saw the display it so dim if you are not standing directly in front of the range it is very difficult to read. We contacted customer service and they sent a service tech out to replace the display. The new display isn't any better than the original. Our old GE range and our GE microwave both have bright displays you can see from any place in the room. Why did KitchenAid put such a dim display on this range. Also, when you turn on one of the burners it buzzes when you first turn it on. I would not recommend this range.

Works great + Dangerously sharp exhaust ventOnly had it for amonth, used the convection baking which works great and the burners are fast and strong as well. It's a hustle to clean and gets scratched easily if your pots and pans are very new and smooth but I had the same experience with Frigidaire one as well so I guess this is what to be expected. My only real concern is that while cleaning the top - which you need to do almost on a daily basis I got a pretty bad cut along the back of my palm from the exhaust vent which is located in the gap between the top and the control panel - very hidden and razor sharp. I would be happy to hear from Kitchenaid about this as it very dangerous.

So far so good!!I've only had my new range for a week. After my 27 year old range needed to be replace (only because the oven could no longer be turned on!), I chose this range because it seemed higher quality than the others & I didn't want a Samsung.
The cook top is great so far though I'm surprised it doesn't boil water any faster than the old range. I made frozen french fries on covection & they were the best ever!
The bottom storage drawer is rather chintzy but I like to way it is so low to the floor so my dogs don't get food stuck under the stove.
It's very nice looking in my kitchen along with my new KitchenAid dishwasher in black.

I Hate This RangeI have had this range almost a year and I have hated the cooktop from the first week. It is impossible to keep clean, needing special products, special delicate handling, and constant care. I thought a modern electric cooktop without coiled elements that food could fall through would be great and easy to keep looking wonderful. Instead, it's a constant battle. In addition, I have to be cautious about scratching and cracking. It doesn't help that the cooking elements don't heat at the same rate and I have to completely adjust my cook times and temperatures depending on which element I am using. I would replace this range in a second if I could.
