Where is your QA KitchenAid?As with my fridge review, QA lacking in KitchenAid products. This is a new construction home and I looked forward to getting KitchenAid appliances. Combo wall ovens work fine, but after cleaning lower oven, the very next time I used it (Easter Sunday), I opened the lower oven door and 3 screws (now piping hot) shot out if the oven into my food and on the floor. They held on the metal bracket that surrounds the oven opening. Lucky one stayed in, or it too would have fallen off. Service rep came out. Screws we're so tiny, they would no longer catch into their channels. Guy had to go to a hardware store, get bigger screws and put special paint on them. Jeesh.

Missing some features and heats the room.We bought this unit to replace a KitchenAid that we had for 25 years. This one doesn't have a couple of features that I hoped to get again. It doesn't have Warm Hold or Roast settings in the microwave portion. Also, it is slow to heat up and exhausts a large amount of heat into the room (which the old one didn't). Also, the cleaning cycle causes the wall next to the oven to get pretty hot (the old one didn't). I haven't found much use yet for the convection function in the lower oven. The convection in the microwave portion can serve as a second oven when needed. So far, all the features work well. The defrost function is really good.

Oven is great, microwave/convection not worth itWe purchased several new Kitchen Aid appliances a little over a yr ago (approx $10k). Great style. No problems except for the microwave. Noticed a few months ago it was not heating as it should but the issue was random. Sometimes I can heat a cup of water in a minute other times it can take several attempts and well over 2-3 minutes. Called a repair guy who cannot figure out the issue, suggested we replace ( really... this unit cost over $3k). Hard to recommend when with little use ( just 2 working adults) and in less than 15 months it is not operating as should....lucky me I get to spend my weekend trying to figure out what the warranty covers and does't..

Great upgrade! We recently renovated our kitchen and chose a double convection/microwave oven in addition to a new cooktop. It was the best decision we made. Cooking dinner is so much easier now. They are a great fit to our refurbished kitchen. The KitchenAid product line was the best choice for us when replacing our 20-year-old oven and cooktop. While we’ve have only had the oven for about a month, we love it! It heats uniformly and the roll out bottom rack makes taking a whole turkey out of the oven a breeze. Couldn’t be happier with these two products. They give me the opportunity to use both ovens during the holidays.

The oven that doesn't cook pizzaWell, this is a really big issue- you can't line the base of your oven with foil. We like to cook pizza and now we can't. The oven also doesn't seem to cook anything as well as our 18 year old oven did. The combo microwave/convection feature is clunky at best. The controls are not "user friendly" and it's a pain to constantly have to refer to the guidebook to make a simple meal. And what's with the extremely loud whooshing noise when you are done cooking? You can't even be in the same room with it, it's so loud. We joke that we live in the Scottish moors where the "Hound of the Baskervilles" book was written. We are so disappointed by the quality of your products-

Serious Design FlawI bought this oven in February 2020 and called in service within 2 weeks because of safety issues. When running the convection microwave, the air vent is pointed directly at the handle of the lower oven. This causes the handle to heat up to > 150 degrees. The service technician said it was operating as intended and suggested we just use an oven mitt with the lower oven (super helpful). For perspective, a 1 second skin contact of an object at 160 degrees causes a thermal burn. This is a serious danger to any customer and should be recalled.
I contacted Kitchenaid on 2/18 about this concern and have not heard anything back. I’m hoping to help others who are still in the market for an oven to steer clear.

Combo Microwave and Oven not so great. This was an upgrade from the builder. I had Kitchen Aid appliances in my previous home. The first time I tried to use the microwave and oven at the same time, everything shut down. The first contact with the help desk was that I couldn't use both at the same time. WRONG. Eventually they decided I merited a service call. The service people were great and diagnosed the problem. A second visit from them resulted in new fans for both oven and microwave. However the microwave fan is SO NOISY I dread using it and I'm a heavy duty fan of microwave cooking. So I'm very disappointed in this product. NOT at all like my vintage 1999 appliances in my previous home.

Built to last!I bought this combo microwave/wall oven to replace the 14.5 year old KitchenAid combo that the motherboard was no longer being manufactured so it couldn't be repaired. The original combo never had one minute of trouble so I'm hoping this new replacement will be the same way. I have to say out the gate the overall size is the same it went into the same cabinet without any adjustments having to be made, but the interior of both micro & oven are bigger. It feels way more heavier/solid like my Viking Range; more like a professional piece of culinary equipment. I ordered it directly from KitchenAid and they installed it. So far I've been happy.

Nothing but troubleThere are so many features of this micro/oven combo that I thoroughly like. However, we have had the machine a little over a year. In the very short time we've had it, it has been repaired 3 times. The repair company states that they don't know what else they can do, as just about everything has been replaced. They did the latest repair 4/14/19. So far, they have replaced the circuit board and the convection fan and something in the microwave oven which was making horrendous noise. The oven has been overheating and then stops running. We'll see if the latest part replacement fixes the unit. If not, I want my money back.

Features useless without user manualPurchased this convection microwave/oven combination a month ago. It came with a tray, wire rack, steamer, and probe…but no directions for using them, the many features available, cleaning or caring for the oven. After searching the internet, I was able to find a basic booklet, but nothing that helped with using the features of this unit. After visiting the store where we purchased this $3,000 appliance, we were told there is no manual.
I have tried experimenting with the different features, with limited success. I will say that both oven and microwave are much quieter than the Whirlpool appliance they replaced. I believe Kitchen Aid is very negligent in not providing a manual for this appliance!
