The ovens should come calibratedWe purchased a double wall oven because we were matching our new black stainless dishwasher and black stainless refrigerator. Our old oven was about 30 years old and needed to be updated. The biggest problem we have had is trying to get it calibrated to the temperature it registers. We have a thermometer inside the oven and can tell that it is not calibrated. We were told that the owner has to calibrate it. We have followed the Instruction Book for calibration but it still is Off. We continue to recalibrate it every time we use it but it can be time consuming. The Oven should already come calibrated!!!! I like the slide out shelf on rollers.

New Ovens a Big DissapointmentOn 7/21/2015 I purchased my second K.A. Oven. My first oven lasted 14 years with no major problems. From the time the new ovens were installed,(7/30) I experienced one problem after another. Both of the ovens made a terrible noise and the convection was not working. Call store for service. On 8/13 service dept. came out; decided I needed new motors. Motors were ordered. New motors were installed on 9/18/2015.In the process of installing, repairmen noticed both fans had bent blades and had to straighten them out.
I am hopeful I will have no further problems.
As much as I enjoyed my K.A. Ovens in the past, I don't know if I would recommend them to others.

BeautifulThis is the worst purchase I have ever made. It was expensive and a long wait to get. When installed it was beautiful. It is an awful product. It takes 20 to 40 minutes to preheat and will not cook anything in the prescribed time. We replaced a Dacor unit which was old but perfect. We have had the service people here to evaluate the unit but they say this is as good as it will get. We are so sorry. After an hour on a 30 minute recipe the items are cool and can be handled bare handed. This unit is truly substandard despite the service people saying it is properly performing for its ability.

Not what we expectedThe first one doors would not close and doors were twisted. BBuy sent more experienced installers. They took one look and recommended replacement. 2nd double oven was installed doors closed properly and were in alignment. First time we baked items (normal bake), turnovers baked super fast.
Checked temperature and both ovens were off. One 15 and the other 20 degrees. Service tech came to calibrate oven temp. He had an issue with one oven and gave up. My wife baked blueberry muffins. In one oven muffins were browned but not done 20 minutes plus 10. The second oven required 40 minutes. Calling kitchenaide for service call assistance. Keep you posted

Don't buy - we've had 2 in less than 10 monthsWe bought this at lowes and the first one had to be replaced in less than 30 days. Then the 2nd one worked for 6 months, but started making a loud buzzing noise with the fan. Whirlpool sent out a technician to fix the fan, but it caused a second issue - uneven baking (one loaf of bread burnt and the other one was undercooked on the same rack level).
Whirlpool seems unable or unwilling to resolve and or replace this.
We had a whirlpool refrigerator and oven and replace the oven and dishwasher with Kitchenaid. Now the dishwasher circuit board died in 12 months. Must be a quality issue.
Hoping Whirlpool will make both right. Otherwise, we won't buy Whirlpool nor Kitchenaid ever again.

Bad qualityI had this oven installed on my new home by the builder. After a couple of months, the bottom oven bottom chipped, and if was under the builder warranty so they replaced it. I did purchase the extended warranty because Kitchen Aid sent me tons of letter offering it. Now, after 3 years, the bottom oven that is the one I use 90 % of the times, chipped again. They are sending somebody to do a touch up. it doesn't make any sense , since it looks like this oven's coating (blue) is not of good quality (I had the same problem twice with 2 different units in 3 years).

Great oven but bad accessories. Probe melted.I purchased this double oven as a replacement for a 25 year old KitchenAid Superba. This is a great oven with all the frills you'd expect from KitchenAid. However, there is one issue I ran across when I used it last time. I left the food probe in the oven and turned on the oven setting to to 350 F. After it had preheated, I opened the door to load my banana bread. But to my dismay, I found out that the probe had sort of melted inside the oven. This is absurd. Isn't the probe supposed to withstand the oven temperature. I will now have to purchase a new probe for $100.

Absolutely GreatLove everything about my new double wall ovens! Some people complained about the timer not being loud enough. If you hold the Clock/Tools Button a menu opens up and there is a prompt to increase volume, so easy, (although it would be nice if they included an instruction sheet). Ovens are not only beautiful they are quiet even in convection bake mode. My old Dacor ovens were very noisy in comparison! So far everything I have baked has come out great! Also my space only allows for the 27inch ovens and I was amazed how much more interior space is in the Kitchenaid compared to my old ones! Love the black stainless, it’s stunning!

DO NOT BUY THIS OVEN!!!!My oven is less than a year old with very little use. I noticed last month the enamel on the bottom of the upper oven is cracking and flaking. KitchenAid refuses to do anything. The local repair shops say they have seen a lot of ovens from KA with this problem, and KA's solution is a little paint stick. That is unacceptable for an expensive oven. I could go into detail about their warranty department, but that would fill a full blog. The temperature has never been right, but close enough. The self cleaning oven did not do a good job and is a joke. Again, do not buy this piece of good looking garbage. Beauty is only skin deep. After online research, it is clear KA is familiar with this problem yet continues to sell this defective product. I hope KA has the objectivity to post this.

Awesome looking and great cookingI purchased this oven at the end of August and installed over labor day weekend. It replaced a single oven as I was doing a kitchen remodel. It is really a stylish double oven with great lines that match the cabinetry in my home. The controls are at eye level ,easy to read, and fairly straightforward. As with anything new one must read the user manual for all the different applications it has. For me the oven has been quite and we have used both convection and the standard settings. The blue inside is really a great look also. With the lights on and door closed it is an eye catcher. The gliding racks
( One per oven ) are really nice along with the hidden bake element in each. Hey it's a nice oven.
