After many, many weeks of persistent follow up with both KA and Whirlpool customer service, it was decided that we had a defective product. KA upheld the 1yr warranty and replaced the entire unit. Since then, I use my unit almost daily and absolutely love it. It warms to temp quickly, maintains constant temp for long periods, and assists with wonderful baked results. There is very little noise during use: warm up or cool down, and the blue interior remains unblemished. So happy with this unit!

Basically the glass interior is flaking off whenever we use the oven. Not good. As we wait for Whirlpool to make a determination, we are collecting little blue glass shards.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dick Green Valley from Does not heat properly- Ruins meals We purchased a home with Kitchen Aid double ovens in it. We were excited for we were aware of the outstanding reputation that Kitchen Aid held in the appliance department. Now that we have used it we are extremely disappointed as it does not heat properly. I have placed an oven thermometer in both units to calculate the heating process We will pre-heat to 400 degrees. The units will denote that the temperature has reached 400 degrees when in actuality it will only be 330 degrees. It will then take considerable more time to reach 400, then it drops again, unable to maintain an even temperature. It goes to 415 degrees and then to 380 degrees. We are extremely disappointed in your product as we have ruined many meals due to the uneven heating of the ovens. This being said, we are in a dilemma that needs attention. The ovens do not work properly and we are unable to use them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joan from Wonderful features These ovens are just beautiful inside and outside. Inside they are a cobalt blue which is stunning! I love the led light inside which really lights up the inside while baking--you can see everything so clearly. Also, my main feature that I wanted is the time bake where you set the time to start, put in the food and it bakes and shuts off automatically. That is a hard feature to find now. I love it!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Baker Girl from Much Quieter Double Oven I bought this KA DO to replaced a brand new Whirlpool DO which was extremely noisy. I am glad that I exchanged it even though I had to pay a very high restocking fee. The KA is very quiet, you have to stand next to it to hear a low hum. It's a beautiful appliance. The bottom oven's temperature is not accurate because the few dishes that I've bake took longer than the require time. I think it can be fine tune. The top oven seems to be baking accurately. I do have one concern. Both my ovens have a brownish tint color on the lower back wall when the rest of the oven is the beautiful blue color. I called the customer service number to inquire about it. She could not answer me if that was the way it was suppose to be. If they sent a service tech out to look at it, I would get charged $150 if there wasn't anything wrong with it. But it could be a defect in the paint color just not sure and didn't want to pay any more money for this oven. It's working and it's quiet so I give it 4 stars.

Replacing them with the newer version was a no brainer and I have to say, I LOVE the new ones even more than the old one. I love to bake and these ovens are up to the task.
