Excellent Double Self Cleaning OvenPurchased a few days ago and was pleased to find this model of oven to replace the existing the KitchenAid oven in our home now. Difficult to find a 24" size double oven with the exact dimensions as our old one for ease of installation in existing kitchen cabinet. This newer model is essentially the same unit it replaces that was 13 years old. The new model has been freshened up a bit with more attractive door handles and control panel fascia. The unit is attractive and modern looking and operates well right out of the box. A bit pricey, but it does have all the features my wife likes. Especially, the double self cleaning oven and convection features.

amazingIt truly amazes me that people like this oven. Have they tried to self clean it? Have they used the top oven and the bottom oven at the same time? After a series of visits from repairmen, I am once again without an oven. I can be seen visiting neighbors with raw casseroles and roasts to use their ovens to cook our food. The repairman sent here by KitchenAid service, was unable to fix it, shrugged his shoulders, apologized and left. These ovens are 7 months old and this is not the first time they have broken. If you are a happy customer, beware, one day you will be writing a very different review.

Bottom ovenI ordered my ovens the end of August 2018. It is only my husband and I so I actually did not use the bottom oven. Until Thanksgiving. After using the oven three times: a single batch of cookies, a cheesecake and an apple pie, the bottom oven stopped working. The motherboard and face plate were then replaced. So far the repair man has come three times! My concern is I was told the warranty would not be extended past the delivery date. There is only so much baking I can do for two people to see if the last repair worked! Time is passing and I feel I paid over three thousand dollars on a retirement income for now refurbished ovens!

Lower oven quit working after 1 monthI have had this oven for 1 month. I used the self clean and the next day the lower oven won't heat up. I did some research online to see this is a common kitchenaid problem. I called customer service but only had my model number and not my serial number. They refuse to come out unless I pay without the serial number. The problem is it is in a rental house an hour away so I asked if I could call them back with it and schedule service and they rudely refused. Since the product has only been on the market for a little over a month they have to know it is under warranty but their customer service agent was not only not helpful but very rude.

I love this oven!I've had my oven installed for 2 weeks and I've been a baking fool ever since! Not having ever had a convection oven, it makes a huge difference. It sounds ridiculous, but everything seems to taste better now! Several loaves of bread and 4 homemade pizzas later, we are all enjoying life with convection. My only complaint is that is does take a little longer to preheat - but believe me it's worth the wait.
This oven also matches our kitchenaid dishwasher - which we've had for nearly 12 months. It is a true workhorse - runs three times a day AND gets the dishes clean! I will never buy any other brand of appliance again.

Tom but disappointed from
Bought and installed first week of November and has died 2x!I bought this and it was installed the first week of Nov 2016. It died the week before Thanksgiving because the heat fuse blew....but no one was using it! That replaced I was cooking my Christmas day meal. I roasted a standing rib roast then switched to broil to broil asparagus and halfway through the cook time it died again. KitchenAid insisted that I still have a repairman be scheduled after two calls. The repairman had to call KitchenAid technical support and they were left with replace the fuse a second time. It has been over a week and I still don't have a working oven. I paid WAY to much for this level of service. Owned 2 months. Usable for one. I am a devoted KitchenAid customer and am so disappointed! For the price AVOID this product.

Stainless Steel Double OvenWe bought this oven about a month. Our oven is not the standard 27 inch, so we had to order a 24" oven. I was disappointed because the 24-inch loses a number of the nice features such as the meat probe, the nice royal blue interior, the gliding racks, the double convection and the double self-clean feature. The display is also difficult to use. You have to hit the display exactly on top of the numbers and push rather hard to select the feature you want . The convection feature is also quite loud. I would definitely not choose this oven again, even though it bakes/cooks well.

Good oven, but two repairs in two yearsI have revered Kitchen-Aid products since the 70's when I installed them for living. As with most appliances these days, I don't find them as reliable as they used to be. Case in point, I am now replacing the second high-limit thermal switch in the unit. They seem to fail after a couple of cleaning cycles, and I have yet to find an OEM replacement limit switch that seems to stand up to the duty required by the cleaning cycle. It's bad enough that the replacement switches are upwards of 50 bucks, and worse yet that i have to pull the oven out of the wall to replace them; easily a two-man job. I also agree with the previous comments on the venting and pre-heat time, but it is to be expected in a wall mount unit. I am pleased with the functionality otherwise.

Problematic ovenCould not recommend this model.
first, it broke few days after we purchase it because of manufacturing defect.
second, thermal fuse gets triggered by self cleaning. Unfortunately we discovered that after 1st year warranty had expired. So, attempt to use self cleaning cycle cost us 400.
finally, after just two years, lower oven thermal sensor died (showing temperature that is 60-70 degrees off). Thats going to cost another 450.
Very disappointing, considering how expensive it is.
But it looks good, and there are not many 24" double wall ovens on the market.

Fuse issuesI purchased my double wall oven on October 6, 2018 and was not able to have it delivered or installed until November 12, 2018 due to manufacturer quality hold. On December 12, 2018, I attempted to use the "self clean" mode on the oven for the very first time. Half way through the self clean cycle, the entire oven shut down. Apparently there is a design flaw with the placement of the thermal fuse and the fuse "blew" during the self clean cycle. The KitchenAid repair tech came out to fix on December 17th. The next day when I attempted to bake in the oven, another fuse blew! Due to the holidays, the oven was not able to be repaired until December 27, 2018. So, for only owning the oven for a little over a month, two fuses blew on a brand new oven!
