Rated 4 out of 5 by lindamh from Perfect size for Small kitchen always wanted a Kitchenaid and finally splurged on the Artisan Mini on sale - in Hot Sauce color (fun!). Somewhat disappointed. First use: It made my cookies well but the texture was a little different, no big deal. However, to add ingredients, you have to stop and raise the mixing head - there's no room. When you raise it, the dough in/on the whip falls outside the bowl. It's impossible to clear the whip while attached and messy when you try to detach. I agree with others that had I know this, I might have gone for the larger Kitchenaid ... but with the kids grown, why? It is a good machine for my use and I would recommend with several reservations.

Rated 4 out of 5 by crscott512 from Great Size Now that Im older with arthritis in my wrists and hands sometimes my 5 qt was a bit much to deal with. I debated on the mini because the bowl had no handle. And I love my glass bowl with the lid on my 5 qt. I found a metal bowl, had to purchase seperately for the mini and got it. I LOVE IT....it fits under the cabinets and is out on the counter all the time. It has the power to do what I need. And it is beautiful I will keep the 5 qt for larger heavier doughs... I would love to have the glass bowl with the handle and lid....Im hoping kitchen aid offers one soon. Thats the only reason I didnt give 5 stars.

I've had this for more than a few months now, I have the full size tilt head in white, that I also loved but it was too big to keep on the counter, have it in the pop out from under the cabinet. Reviewing the mini now because I had lots of baking to do over the holidays and I used my old mixer and for everyday home baking, the mini is best. The large one is so powerful that even on the first level, mix ingredients fly out. Not in the Mini, it mixes slow and not much if any comes out. The attachments seemed a little loose compared to the large one, but everything comes out fine. I fell in love with color, and I love the size. Great Job Kitchenaid!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a Christmas gift to myself with thoughts that it would be great for our out of the country move this year. It weighs in so much lighter than our classic 20 year old model. I have used it several times and it has been absolutely perfect. The attachments do fit and it makes me happy that I can have my cake and eat it too! I can easily carry a less than 15 lb unit in our luggage (or ship it if we decide to go that route) as my KitchenAid is a necessity in my kitchen. Thank you, Kitchen Aid for a wonderful product. The tilt head is a feature that isn't on my older model and I love it!!!

I have the 5 1/2 quart which is a great machine, however at 71 years old, I have a difficult time moving it around on my counter. I've wanted the mini for a long time so my husband surprised me with it as a Christmas present! It is a wonderful machine!! It's powerful and just the right size for just my husband and me! I do wish that a bowl with a handle was available though. It is difficult for me to remove the bowl sometimes, especially with arthritis in my hands. Also, would love to see something to prevent flour from spilling everywhere when adding it to the bowl. Aside from that, I am very pleased. ,

I did my research on which size to buy and decided to buy the Mini. I am 75 and have a relatively small kitchen so it would be a perfect fit. It was a great choice. I can keep it in a bottom cupboard and can take it out easily when needed. I thought I would need to buy a replacement bowl with a handle but surprisingly it has not been a problem. I have used it for cakes and breads and the size bowl works out well. Definitely worth waiting for!

The first being so that I could grind my own chicken using the meat grinder attachment because of pre-ground store bought prices. The second reason was for the mixer feature itself for making home-made pizza dough, cakes, and other baking items. I am very pleased with my purchase, this magical machine cuts down a good amount of work and is much easier to use than my hand/arm which can get very tired. I find it easy to clean with the non stick exterior, and easy to assemble/dis assemble when changing from the dough hooks to beaters etc.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the bigger version previously, but decided to give the mini a try since it's only me and to save counter space. I love this mixer. Just as powerful and great as the bigger one I had. The only thing that I do not like....usually when I use my mixer, I stop a few types to scrape the sides to ensure everything gets mixed in. Because of the small design and the narrow bowl, tilting the head up gives you very little room to do so, and makes it more awkward to accomplish this. Despite this, I do love this mixer. It's easy to move and just as effective and powerful as it's bigger counterpart.

I ordered the mixer online on 12/20 and received an email saying that it would be delivered on 12/23. It did not arrive before Christmas but received another email telling me that they had no idea when it would arrive and if I wanted I could cancel. The next day, before I cancelled, I ordered another mixer from a different source. That afternoon the mixer I ordered from you arrived-without any notifications! I was unable to cancel the new order so I have to return the second mixer! Again, poor communication!

Rated 5 out of 5 by dessert lady from Great for smaller jobs I have the 5 quart Artisan and love it but it is heavy as I am older. It is too big for my counter and have it stored somewhere else. Do use it a lot as I love to bake. When this Mini came along I had to get it. Do not regret. For smaller batches of cookies and other projects this is perfect plus it is on my counter so I can use it as I please. I also have a KitchenAid blender, food processor and other attachments. KitchenAid makes a quality product and I am fortunate to have some of them. I highly recommend any of their products, never disappointed.
