Rated 2 out of 5 by Eileen40a from Glass bowl I have been very happy with my mixer until today. Today the mixer scared me to death. I was using it to mix up some cookie dough and the bowl started making all kinds of noise and bucking up and down. I hurried up and shut the machine off. I found a piece of the thread ring on the floor. Luckily the bowl did not break but now I can't get a new thread ring. Can't find one anywhere and even if I could I don't know if I trust it not to act up and maybe break the bowl next time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from Love it, but glass shattered! I love this mixer. I use it multiple times a week to make cookies and royal icing. While making royal icing, the glass bowl completely shattered, spraying shards of glass all over the kitchen! Luckily my 3 and 1 year olds were in the other room!!! No rhyme or reason to the shattering? Now I'm terrified to use it!!! Also, cannot find the same bowl (5qt) with the thread ring to replace it!?

Rated 1 out of 5 by Sky C from Mold in the ring I love my kitchenaid - it’s the workhorse of my kitchen. I use it almost daily. However, when it comes to my 5qt glass bowl, I have been frustrated with the gray ring on the bottom. I have never been able to remove it, and mold has developed in between the ring and the glass itself. I kill it regularly with vinegar, but the tight enclosed space created by the ring allows the mold to flourish whenever I was the bowl.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Yemi75 from Thread Ring I bought KSM155GBCA with a glass bowl in June, 2020 in official KitchenAid store in Bogotá, Colombia. Just 2 months after the purchase, the ring of the glass bowl broke while the mixer was on, causing the fall from the counter and damaging the machine itself. The customers service is beyond lousy here so: 1. I had to pay 100$ repair since they denied the guaranty service, 2. The ring is nowhere to find here in Colombia so although miraculously the glass bowl remained intact, I can’t use it or sell it. Never, ever again will I recommend or buy your product.

I don't know any thing about the thread Ring for glass bowl..I have metal bowl and also the smaller bowl which I had to buy separately. All I know is i HATE this mixer. Give a two beater mixer any day. I cuss this out everytime I use it. No, I would never, never recommend Kitchenaid mixers.
