Love ItI have the classic stand mixer and love it! For the past two years, I bake 200+ cookies every Saturday and never have had any problems. I am replacing my wire whip attachment because one of the wires has become unattached. Most likely to my using it to mix things that perhaps the paddle is more appropriate. For all of you complaining about oxidation on the whip attachment. How about actually washing it BY HAND. I have never put my attachments in the dishwasher and have had my mixer for over six years and NO OXIDATION. HMMMM. Imagine that? Washing an attachment by hand! Highly recommend any KitchenAid appliance (well small appliance as I have never purchased a major appliance of this brand).

Whisk oxidationI understand why the wire whisk is out of stock. To sell a part with an expensive mixer that is defective isn't right. This part should have been recalled many years ago.

Great machineI love it and use it frequently. Did not give it a 5-star because of the wire whisk that I put in the dishwasher. The base now leaves black marks all over

Black SmudgingI see many have had this same issue with oxidation. Why would something used for baking NOT be suited for the dishwasher? This seems a bit silly given how messy this activity can be. Is there a way to fix this and/or is there an updated version of the whisk that doesn't leave black residue?

What's up Kitchen Aide?? Black ResidueStill not happy about the top of the beater. Makes me mad every time I use it. The black comes off on my hands and the food being mixed. This is just not acceptable. Come on Kitchen Aide...don't give us the same standard computer remark. Fix the problem. Get it stainless. This is just not quality, on a quality machine. You should give everyone a free stainless or white coated one, if they complain.

Whisk black residueI’m having the same problem. Base of whisk is covered with black residue and I can’t remove it. It’s all over everything. But love the mixer.
