Rated 3 out of 5 by Jessi Lynn from Beautiful, but with issues This mixer is absolutely gorgeous and I loved it, but I have just returned my third one and am not ordering a fourth replacement. The first two had dark spots across the top, some kind of paint flaw. The third had only one small dark spot which I decided I could live with, but then I noticed that the bezel piece around the spinning element was warped in several places. I have owned two other KitchenAid mixers with no issues whatsoever, so I do not understand why the quality control has gone down so badly, especially on such a special limited edition piece which would otherwise be a work of art. I am so disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MPritch from Loses power after 5 minutes! This was a Christmas gift to replace my trusty 1980s-era model K45SS, which I've never had any problems with. While the new one looks beautiful on my counter, I was extremely disappointed the first time I made French buttercream, which the recipe says to whip on high for 8 minutes. About 6-7 minutes in, the motor slowed down and almost stopped! I had to dig out my old model to finish the job! When I called to ask if this was a flaw or if it could be repaired, I was informed (like some of the other reviewers here) that the mixer is only designed to mix for 5 minutes at a time, followed by a 15-minute rest!! I don't understand why my older model, which supposedly has a less powerful motor, is able to keep whipping without slowing down. Another example of reduced quality and poorer workmanship in newer products, I guess. Shame on you, KitchenAid.

Every person that has seen this 100 year anniversary Heritage model thinks she is just beautiful. Then they become more impressed by her strengths and abilities! From uniformly and gently blending all ingredients together for a perfect hearty meatloaf to whipping out an airy cloud of meringue that could be a fairy's envy, she performs tasks with grace and speed. The size is just right for everyday use in a family kitchen. Having a ceramic bowl adds so much versatility. Many recipes can be mixed and then baked in the same dish!

I didn't think I could love a mixer but here I am loving it and enjoying it at every opportunity. The color is probably one of my most favorites and I didn't even think I'd like it after looking at the pictures online. But the color is so much better in real life. But on to the beast of a mixer. I've not tried it on everything but on the things I've used it for, I can say this mixer is a fantastic machine. I am looking forward to all the new things I'm going to try with it. One last note, I don't even know why it took me almost my whole adult life to make this decision on getting a stand mixer! If you are on the fence on if you should or shouldn't - go ahead and say YES and get one!!

The misty blue and hobnail bowl give it a very retro feel that I love. The white accents really standout! This is my first tilt-head model, I like how much easier bowl scraping is. My other kitchen aid is a larger model so was concerned the smaller size would have trouble keeping up. I was pleasantly surprised how powerful this mixer is! It plowed through cake batter, butter cream even dough with no problem whatsoever. I did find I needed to back down through the speeds slowly or the motor almost seemed to grind. Although this may be something with all the head-tilt models Overall, I am extremely happy with this mixer!

I am so happy that I got my dream Kitchen Aid stand mixer! Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, it is so easy to use! The options for the additional components is amazing! I can make pasta, then use the pasta attachment to make noodles! You can juice things, grind things- all w/ the ease of one machine and cool attachments! I love the flexibility of choosing the ones that fit my lifestyle. Such a great (and much desired) addition to my kitchen. Now I just want to mix all the things!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bakerguy from replacement bowl i got this as a Christmas gift and unfortunately dropped and broke the ceramic, dimpled bowl. I loved the look, I cannot find anywhere to get a replacement, original white dimpled ceramic bowl. My only choice is to get a steel bowl or a different textured bowl. You would think that getting a replacement, breakable bowl, wouldn't be an "indiana jones" search

Rated 2 out of 5 by SofiL from Excited then disappointed I decided to splurge on this beautiful limited edition mixer, its very pretty but I do need functionality over appearance. I was using it to whip egg whites and noticed that it would not work on 2 like on previous models I've had, I went up to 4 and that seemed to help a bit... I thought.. until I went to scoop out my whipped egg whites only to find parts of the egg that were not incorporated even after letting it mix for over 5 minutes so I ended up only having a portion that was usable and had to throw the rest away. So disappointed as I was very excited at first.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wolverine13 from Beautiful with Great Performance [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First and foremost the performance of the 100 year mixer is just as great as other Kitchen Aid stand mixers, including my favorite Artisan that I've had for years. What takes this version over the top is the retro design that has been included for this limited edition. I love the color and the textured ceramic mixing bowl is easy to work with and looks amazing sitting on my kitchen counter. I normally try to store away most of my kitchen appliances, but this one is a showpiece that will stay on my counter for years to come! Highly recommended!
