BOWL BREAKS EASILYI have had the KitchenAid mixer with a glass bowl for several years. While replacing the bowl last week I BARELY (cannot stress that word enough) tapped the side of the bowl on the attachment rod and a giant chunk of glass just broke off. I have since read that others have even been injured by these bowls shattering mid-mix! Be CAREFUL and I advise going with a metal bowl instead. The mixer itself works perfectly well, that I will say. But I would not advise getting one with a glass bowl. So disappointed but glad I was not injured. KitchenAid has, so far, just told me to purchase a new bowl as my mixer is outside the 1 year warranty.

Little to sayIt is a bummer. Soon after we bought this mixer we started a kitchen renovation project
and mixer went to storage in its box. Yesterday our 11 year son wanted to do some pizzas,
I saw the perfect opportunity to use our new unused mixer. I accidentally dropped a small
species glass container weighing a little over 120 grams and bowl ended with a hole.
Look to me that glass material used is not the right one for a kitchen product.
A side note. Even when it is cool for kids to see the development of the dough to needed
texture, I looked for a stainless steel replacement bowl, those I found do not state mixer
models they fit.

Mathilda, the star baker![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my 5-quart stand mixer in 2020 and I have named her Mathilda. She has been consistently and efficiently working well since day one, helping my novice baking skills blossom into star baker quality (according to my loyal family and friends, haha!) and has helped me save lbs of sourdough starter feeds by using the discards to bake into sourdough bread, dinner rolls/pandesal, focaccia and variety of cakes! This Kitchenaid product is a power horse in my dainty kitchen! I am impressed and I hope to add more of its accessories for optimal use of its features.

LOVE LOVE LOVE[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been contemplating on buying a kitchenaid mixer for about three years now and I finally got one and I don't regret it! I love the fact how easy it is to figure out how it works. Also, it was nice how it comes with a cook book full of recipes!
My favorite things to make with my mixer are pizza dough, cookies, and butter cream!
I've only used a hand held a few times so I don't have the best experience to compare the two but I do know it's nice to just throw everything in there and let it do its thing!
I can't wait for the holiday season to make all kinds of treats!

Great mixer, bad bowl[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kitchenaid stand mixer in candy apple red with the glass bowl was my ultimate dream. My mother in law and my mom purchased this gift for me as a wedding gift. Shortly after using it a few times, a large chuck of glass broke off the bowl. Since there were no small pieces, my husband glued the piece back onto the bowl and I was very cautious about using it. Not long after, another, much smaller piece broke off (along with the larger piece as well) so now the bowl is completely useless. The mixer part as always worked wonderfully but I am very disappointed in the quality of the bowl.

Worth the WaitI wanted a Kitchenaid mixer before I was married. I’ve been married for over 26 years. Not only did I get my favorite color, I got a few attachments to keep me busy for a while. I LOVE my Plumberry color mixer. The quality is beyond my expectations. It is made amazingly well. I use it several times a week. I don’t need to struggle with hand held mixers anymore. My carpel tunnel made cooking painful and unpleasant. Now I look forward to it. I got the food processor attachment and I use it weekly at least. The dicer is so FUN! My only regret is that I waited 26 years to get my mixer. I should’ve gotten one when I first married. Don’t wait! Enjoy yours now! It’s so worth it.

Overcharged, defective, awful customer serviceWas charged sales tax during tax free weekend. It will take 4-6 weeks for their tax team to just REVIEW the issue. The whip is slimy and turns my fingers black when touching. They will replace but it will take a while. They're sending replacement confirmations to my husband's email. He was NEVER part of the transaction. I'm not receiving any replacement confirmations.
I have exchanged numerous emails with KitchenAid. The level of incompetence is beyond belief. You would think it might get better as more emails are sent but this is not the case. The frustration I'm experiencing is enough so that I will not purchase from them again.

Three LemonsI bought this mixer 1 1/2 months ago. I tried to make cookie dough but the unit made a terrible grinding noise. I exchanged it for another and tried to make pizza dough. The head lock kept vibrating off causing the head to bounce wildly as it was kneading. Took it back to the store and got another one. Unpacked it and started to make cookie dough only to find the spring on the paddle post was missing. The paddle won't stay on without it. Sending this unit back and will try again. If this one is a bust, then I give up. I must say that I really like that they got rid of the aluminum paddle and replaced it with a coated one. KA's quality control is not what it used to be. Still, I have gone through two others in my lifetime and I still want another.

Hate this mixer[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate this mixer. The glass bowl is far too heavy for me to use and it won't fit in the grooves. I have had it almost a year and have only used it one time. Since I couldn't get the bowl to fit in the grooves, everything in the bowl went flying all over my kitchen counter, cabinets and floor. I've tried and tried to make the thing fit, but it simply won't work. WHAT A HUGE WASTE OF MY MONEY.
I replaced a 15 year old Kitchenaid mixer and I have wished every day that I had it back. Even a little hand mixer would be better than this big thing.

Love my new mixer![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I read loads of reviews before purchasing and was a little concerned about reviews that said things like, "bowl flew off and broke" and "flour goes everywhere". I'm happy to say the bowl locks on securely - I really wanted a glass bowl, and was happy to find it wasn't too heavy. The flour does have a tendency to fly up, so I don't put too much in at once and start the machine really slowly.
I always used to make bread by hand, but in recent years arthritis in my fingers has prevented me. (Arthritis is also the reason I was concerned about the weight of the bowl.) My KitchenAid mixer helped me make 2 great loaves of bread again!
