Reliable KitchenAid w/AdjustmentsThis KitchenAid is a gorgeous countertop addition, and I've always loved the tilt-head option. I do wish it came with a bowl other than the matching metallic bowl, but you can always purchase your own. For some reason, I've needed to do more fixes on this KitchenAid than I have for any other tilt-head I've owned. Thankfully, screws are easy to tighten and KitchenAid has great videos showing how to make these fixes.

Great machine, overpriced for quality of paintI bought this mixer back in may 2017. It works great with no issues. However, the paint quality is HORRIBLE! I paid hundreds of dollars more for the metallic series in copper because I loved the color! But a little after over a year of use, black dots showed up on the bottom! I don’t know how or why, because I wiped it down after every use. I called customer service and they claim it has to do with something acidic that splashed on it. I never used the mixer for anything acidic. That or I must have used some acidic cleaning agent on it - which I never have. I have always wiped it down with a damp water cloth. They only offer 1 year of “cosmetic” warranty so they couldn’t do anything about it. Since then I’ve tried different cleaners and nothing helped, it’s like permanently stained or discolored. If I knew this was going to be an issue I would have never bought this series and spent less on a regular color. I don’t know if I just got a bad painted or bad quality unit or what. But I am super disappointed in the quality for how much I paid. I usually love all kitchenaid products but am so disappointed in this particular item.

Love The Copper Color!Years ago I received a hand-me-down Artisan Tilt-Head that was at least 25 years old. I decided to get a new one and pass the old one off to someone else. This new one is absolutely stunning and I love it. I also purchased the hammered bowl which accents perfectly with the copper!
My only concern with it, is that it does not lock all the way and sometimes causes the head to move. I have followed Kitchenaid's guides on adjusting the height of the head properly etc. and it still won't lock correctly. I have also seen in other reviews that this is a problem that they've only noticed with mixers from the Custom Metallic Series. It isn't the biggest concern as along as you're not doing very heavy doughs, but I'm afraid it might cause issues later down the road.

It's fun having a KitchenAid but...This is my first Kitchen Aid and I even went all out and got the very pretty Custom Metallic Copper one. I read reviews but I didn't really understand how a kitchen aid works never having used one. The detail that does bother me and I'm not sure if I missed while researching or it's just how it is. To adjust the height for your mixing utensils you have to use a screwdriver in a very odd spot and hope you get it right. Sometimes it can take a few minutes to get the right height. For something so expensive you'd think they would have automatic dials you could pick for the mixing utensil you will use?? Like you pick a dial for the paddle and it automatically corrects the height for that utensil. And I worry my screwdriver will slip and scratch my KitchenAid leaving it open to erosion/rust.
Besides for that oddity in a piece of equipment that is so expensive. Having a KitchenAid has made baking through holidays that much easier. And not having to kneed bread... pretty great. And it's so pretty sitting on my counter.

Seems cheaply made...I had the same Kitchen Aid Mixer for well over a decade and I gave it away to a friend because I got this beautiful copper one. My Mom & sisters all have their mixers too. No issues.
This model, Other than how pretty it is, it has been a disaster from the start. When mixing heavier batters or mashed vegetables the bowl will pop out of place. Also, the head jiggles quite badly and the think bolt-like piece connecting the top to the bottom portion of the mixer constantly and slowly slips out.
I am trying to find a replacement plate that holds the bowl in place along with the new bowl. (Also, don’t get the coated flat paddle, it will eventually chip.)

PROBLEMSBought my KitchenAid Artisan mixer less than a year ago----I use it mostly to make bread------the mixing speed at the lowest speed is too fast for kneading, and when
the kneading is happening, the entire mixer bounces up and down----sometimes the wand will just come up out of the bowl---I notice KitchenAid has come up with a
mixer where the bowl is suspended, probably to solve this problem-----that model wasn't available when I got my mixer
I am not happy
