Rated 1 out of 5 by Linda from DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!! I bought this blender a little or a year ago. It looks great and worked ok until I started making kale smoothies with apples and pears. It appears the unit is not made to handle any heavy blending. It has a soft plastic gear to hold the pitcher in place that basically got hot and disconnected from the pitcher. UUGGHHHH I contacted customer service by email and they told me it was out of warranty and then disconnected me. For the money I spent I thought I'd never have to buy another blender and now after a year it is useless. Kitchen Aid, you lost a customer because I am not going to do business with a company that doesn't stand behind their product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by SOCALGOURMET from POWERFUL AND CLEAN LINES After our blender of 40 years gave up the ghost, we purchased this Speed Diamond Blender. One the plus side, it is powerful and gets the job done on both pulse and run cycles. On the minus side, if you do not have the top on, regardless of which speed used, at start-up the blades push everything to the top and you will be cleaning your ceiling. The only other negative is how difficult it can be to remove the blender container from the base. There is a definite technique to it that the accompanying instructions do not address. Overall, however, we feel it is a very good product that we hope will last as long as our previous blender.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Blender guy Chris from Powerful blender I bought this to replace a more economy line blender I bought 6 months ago and broke on me. Apparently I put too many veggies in it because is started to melt the plastic inside the motor. The screen melted shortly thereafter. So I thought I would spend a bit more on a trusted brand. I wasn't sure when I saw the container was a lighter plastic compound than the heavy glass jar of the last one. But the gradual startup speed, and the virtual tornado that is created within seconds of starting this thing up had me hooked. I won't pack as much spinach in this one to be sure. But from watching it I feel like this one could blend just about anything. Very happy.

The pitcher is nice and large and holds plenty. The different blending options are awesome. I’ve made three smoothies so far and it’s worked great every time. I like that the pitcher is a heavy-weight plastic but looks like glass, so I don’t worry about breaking it and it’s not as heavy as glass. I had some trouble figuring out how to remove the pitcher from the base the first time, there’s a bit of a learning curve to it and there aren’t specific instructions about it. But once you figure it out it’s easier the next times. Overall very happy with this blender!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kim from Where have you been all my life?! So we haven't had a blender in over 5 years, because the one we had broke and I thought, "What do we actually need one for?" Christmas 2016 my mother surprises me with this KitchenAid blender that matches our cobalt KitchenAid mixer. WOW! This little baby is AMAZING! I seriously made muffins with it the other day. Yes that's right...in the blender. Ground up oats, added the yogurt, worked like a charm! We also used it for some Miami Vices one night...and I have never seen a blender grind up ice that quickly or efficiently. I am so happy with this gift and can't believe the superior quality in each of our KitchenAid appliances. 5 stars!

Rated 4 out of 5 by JoByz from Meet my expectations. Hard time finding accesories I'm happy with this product 5-Speed Diamond Blender Model. KSB1575AGD0. We bought on Dec 31st 2016 and it worked good, my wife loves to cook so she used it in a daily basis. We have noticed since 2 month ago a burning rubber smell that it may make sense for the normal use, however she got scared when using it the stainless steel blades were broken in half, losing the total pitcher functionality (according to kitchenaid it is backed by a 5-year limited warranty). I thought and may be the option is just to buy another pitcher but it seems it is hard to find tit and from the web page it says it is out of stock, so should I buy another blender ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by wrecreation from sturdy & powerful I bought this blender back in December when the motor on my previous blender seized up. I have been thrilled with how nicely constructed it is and how stable it is on the counter. The motor is very powerful and has produced many wonderfully smooth soups and sauces. It's relatively easy to use, but I can see how some people have had issues with the lock mechanism (reviews I read before purchasing mentioned this as a problem). But it's pretty intuitive. One thing not very intuitive is how to stop the blender. You have to press the power button, but that is hardly a complaint that should steer you away from purchasing this excellent blender.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great but I had to return one due to the little bolt on the bottom of the potcher where the blades are getting rusty. I have always washed it immediately after use and let it stay upright after dumping all water. Rust after one month of responsible use is unacceptable for an item this expensi e. my old oster glass blender has never had this problem after 5 years use. I had to return the dirst one for replacement. I still gave it a chance and now leave it upside down to dry. Hopefully, this will prevent rusting. But the bolt on the inside is not stainless steel which is a pity.

Rated 2 out of 5 by vjc123 from Disappointed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The on off switch is in a poor location and gets activated almost every time I try to remove the container from the base to pour. When it first blends its so forceful you have to hold the top, or it will come off! Also, blender cannot make smoothies, frozen strawberries get caught under the blades and don't get blended, constantly have to stir up bottom to get good blending. Thought the brand was going to be good. Bought this in place of the ninja that didn't come on half the time. I wish I'd bought an Oster, as I keep pulling out my old one from 1980 that works the best. Glad I didn't throw it away.

This 5-speed diamond blender is perfect! It has a ice-crushing mode that is incredibly powerful. It is only 2 pieces (3 including the lid), that is easy to use and to clean--which is another Very important feature when you want to use an appliance often. I made one of my favorite recipes: Kale, mango, banana, ice smoothie. It came out divinely silky, smooth!
