Does not run strongI’ve had my mixer about a year and first time making bread I noticed the head got real hot and had a hot smell coming from it. Not to mention how loud and overworked it sounded. Fast forward a year and it struggles to make cookies. The head has become completely wobbly and unless I hold it down with all of my strength I cannot use my mixer. Very disappointed. My moms Hobart Kitchenaid mixer from ‘82 runs better than my (almost) brand new “pro” mixer. I went ahead and purchased a stand mixer through Hobart. Unfortunately Kitchenaid is so mass produced and cheaply made nowadays it is not meant for daily use or anything other than light mixing.

Disappointed[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to have upgraded my mixer only to be disappointed. Thought this would be the answer to my dream to add to myn kitchen collection. First off, when I turned it on, it was noisey as can be. Ran rough, as if there was no lubrication in the head. The mixing bowl was like an aggravating puzzle to line up the back and have to twist the bowl as such as to seed it. Then even with the bow;l in the down position, it can be troublesome to fit the attachments. I am very disappointed with this product especially for the price tag they put on it. I miss my older mixer with the lifting head.

Disappointed - no power and poor bearings![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've got a Professional 600 model and I've never been real fond of it. I t has in the past overheated and shut down. It would work again after sitting for a bit, but it's a bit tough to finish a job that way. Recently I was mixing a batch of dough for rolls and it just quit. I think a bearing went bad, it will revolve if I jiggle it but it stops again at the same spot on the next revolution. I only use it for heavy work like this maybe 8-12 times a year, so not a lot. Pretty disappointed, I've purchased the meat grinder, pasta maker, and sausage stuffer. Now what do I do? I'm going to look for something more substantial I guess.

Wife has disowned me because of this mixer!!This mixer replaced another KitchenAId mixer that was 20+ years old. I've had this one for almost a year and I have been making bread, pizzas, cakes, and anything else I can think to mix up. My wife has disowned me for using this mixer so much and not asking her for her homemade breads and hand-kneaded rolls and cookies! Now I am the one cooking fresh rolls. This machine is a workhorse, I have thrown all types of dough into it, made hundreds of pounds of mashed potatoes, stirred up a whole lot of beef and chicken and even made candy with it. This machine is incredible, does not quit. Hope it will last another 25 years like the last KichenAid did!

Baking magic![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I requested this for my birthday, sizing up from a smaller tilt head mixer. I am absolutely in love! The speed changes are super smooth so you don't risk throwing ingredients out of the bowl (don't ask me how I know...) The bowl is deep such that you have plenty of space for larger batches. All of it is just a beautiful and well made as you would expect. My plastic shield doesn't match the diameter of the bowl perfectly so it tends to tilt in a bit but nothing I can't deal with! The one addition I got right away was a scraper paddle. Otherwise everything you need comes in one (very large and heavy) box!

Zero Stars - I returned the product.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Kitchen Aid mixer that is 38 years old - made by Hobart. It works fine. The new mixer I ordered made a disturbing grinding noise when I turned it on. I conferred with a pastry chef friend. She listened to it and said "probably the ball bearings." Sorry to learn that the Kitchen Aid mixers are no longer made by Hobart. I returned the 600 series mixer and am sticking with my tried and true one. This site apparently requires at least a rating of one star. I'd give zero if possible.

Bow-Lift Stand KitchenAidI've been using this mixer for almost three years. I had a Tilt Head KitchenAid for 35 years and absolutely loved everything about it. The new Bowl-Lift is the worst purchase I have ever made. If you make cookies, bread, or anything else where the beater is submerged in thick dough you will find that when you lower the bowl the beater will still be 2/3's covered in dough. That means you have to try to scoop the dough away and up the sides of your bowl just so you can remove the beater. Think twice about purchasing this mixer. KitchenAid is a great brand, but this style mixer is a pain in the neck.

Worst of the ModelsI've had mine now for over a year and struggle with it constantly. Whoever designed this model is clearly NOT a baker. The attachments never fit into the bowl properly no matter how many times you adjust the machine so you're CONSTANTLY scraping the bowl. The lift up feature does NOT take into account getting future ingredients into the bowl and you end up with flour or egg everywhere BUT the bowl. I honestly want to get rid of this thing! It makes me so sad. The motor is super loud and because the attachments aren't aligned properly there is shaking and clanging... super frustrating. I've tried to call Kitchen Aid a number of times but after 30 minutes of being on hold, I gave up.

Had to be adjusted right out of the box[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quality and performance seem to be there but was a bit disappointed that I couldn't adjust the beater/bowl clearance with the screw on the front side of the support arm. Turned all the way to the left (/16CCW), the beater was still hitting the bottom of the bowl when it was raised into position. Had to turn the mixer on its side and back off/out the 7/16" nut on the raising rod on the inside of the support arm to achieve the required clearance and pass the "dime" test. For a mixer that costs this much you'd think there would be a little more quality control before shipment.

Used 3 times and now makes weird noisesMy mother bought me this for my upcoming 30th birthday March 21st to help cheer my spirits during this crisis. I was excited to get this and started using it right away. When I first got it I noticed a weird high pitch sound, I tried to see if it was normal and couldn’t find any information. Then I used it three times (cinnamon rolls, sugar cookies and royal icing) while making the royal icing it started to make a clunking noise. I turned it off and turned it back on and it is still doing the same noise. Super disappointed. Reached out to kitchenaid and waiting to hear back as it’s clearly still under warranty.
