Mixed reactions[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using this about 4 months, primarily making pie dough - am making 2-3 batches a month. Also have a 3.5 cup size which has a lot of zip on both speeds and it makes the perfect pie dough, but I wanted a larger capacity to make 2 crusts at one time.
The buttons are hard to push down and the high speed is more of a moderate grind. I find the pie dough butter/flour tends to compact on the bottom of the mixing bowl and does not incorporate well when the water is added. Because the blades don't go as fast as the smaller model, this seems to be the problem for the poor mixing. Still tinkering to see how to make this an effective tool for pie dough.
I have not used the slicer.

DOES THE JOB NICELY[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this recently to replace old one whose pieces were dropped on tile kitchen floor one too many times. So far it has performed well, both making pie crust and grating a batch of potatoes. Its quieter and lighter and so far am well pleased with its performance.

Kitchen Must HaveWe received a KitchenAid food processor as a wedding gift and couldn't be happier with it! It makes preparing meals much easier. We especially like it to make fresh pico-de-gallo, which can be prepped in a matter of minutes. The only down side of it is the learning curve of understanding how to put on the lid correctly to get it to work. Yes, this sounds like a user error problem, which I admit it is, but it just isn't intuitive.

Just right for my needsI’ve never owned a food processor and reluctantly had to skip over recipes that called for their use. I’m so glad to be able to try those recipes now!

Good ValueI got this when my Mom's 35+ hand me down finally died! This does a great job but a lightweight compared to the old one. It slides around on my granite countertop and I had to find a nonslip mat to hold it in place. But it does the job for my cooking and baking needs!

Amazing Simplicity! What a surprise to have a new Kitchen Aid food processor after several years! I have had two others. Yes, I use them much! This one is so easy to use and extremely light weight. Fewer parts to fuss with and store. Works very beautifully!

Quality Product[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As with all KitchenAid appliances, the 7-cup food processor with ExactaSlice system is powerful, well-constructed and easy to use. My only minor criticism is the aesthetics. Although the buttons are large and easy to read I think the plain design of the buttons detracts from the overall look of this machine.

So Far So Good[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few months ago and have used it several times. It works much better than the off brand model I had before. It actually cut/chopped my cilantro without have to constantly scrape the sides. It cut my salsa making time drastically.

Working out the kinks[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this food processor as a replacement for my previous Kitchen Aid unit that I managed to break. I found the lid on this to fit VERY snug compared to the old processor. It's a bit challenging to take off when the sides of the bowl need scraped down. Interestingly, the bowl fits easier on this system than the old so I guess it's a trade off. Initially, I felt that the S-blade sat ever so slightly too high within the bowl and that food that I wanted to be processed ended up going beneath the blade. I have since gotten great results and am noticing that phenomenon less. The blade needs a little push to click it in. It could also be the type of food I'm running through it as well. I have found the blade to be very sharp and have been pleased with how it's worked. I do find the buttons a little more difficult to work than my previous unit. It's as if you have to search for the "sweet spot" that actually triggers the processor to operate. I like the food coming out of it, so I will tolerate the elements about it that keep me from giving it 5 stars.

Good product[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't tried all the features yet but what I have tried works fine. The instruction booklet doesn't show one of the pieces. The slicing disc is two pieces not one as shown.

Happy with product[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pleased with the food processor. It works very well, and it's quiet. The only improvement in would suggest is suction on the bottom. It tends to slide around some when in use.

Nice small processor[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to supplement my large old Cuisinart processor. Comparing the two, the features of the KithenAid I really like are 1) the blade locks in place so you can empty the contents without worrying about the blade falling out. 2) It doesn't leak fluid around the stem of the bowl. It works really well for smaller jobs and is now a permanent fixture on my countertop. The only disadvantage (which doesn't matter to me since I rarely use it for slicing) is that the feed for slicing is small in diameter.

Align the lid properly[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has worked well, though we've only used the standard food-processing blade so far, but it's been a pain to figure out how--or how far--exactly to turn the top--and if it's not aligned properly (though it may seem to be) the processor won't start.

Looks great, easy to use[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my new food processor. My favorite recipes for this machine are hummus and tzatziki. It really makes it easy to try new, healthy recipes. And to slice onions with the slicing adapter (which minimizes onion-induced crying). My ONLY stipulation would be that the blades be closer together or something, so I can truly puree. My hummus, for example, comes out pretty smooth - but there are still tiny lumps here and there.

Bad design[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate the fact that I can’t remove the food that is stuck in the cover. I’ve tried everything. Nothing can get around the tight spaces of the food presser. I’ve been soaking it since Thanksgiving until now,12/11/21. I have been unsuccessful in removing the debris of food. There has to be a better way to design the cover to avoid this unsanitary problem.
