Outrageously overpriced Tap Water!I'm convinced that Whirlpool figured out how to get the tap taste out of the water and left it at that.
I got a TDS reader and was instantly disappointed. My tap water read 179 PPM. My filtered fridge with the Everydrop filter read 203 PPM. I tested a bottle of water to be sure my TDS reader wasn't defective, and the bottle of water read 15PPM.
I filtered 3 gallons as suggested, and after the TDS reading I filtered an additional two gallons to be on the safe side and it went down from 203PPM to 201PPM.
Worse than my tap water.

GarbageWe moved into our house about a year and a half ago. New house. New fridge. Kitchen Aid side by side. Since then we have replaced the filter about 4 times, each time hoping the water will finally taste good. It hasn't. We finally just took the filter out, and the water actually tastes better without it. So disappointed, since this is the first fridge we've had with a ice maker/water dispenser. The Brita water filter pitcher we had prior was head and shoulders above what we get now. We followed the instructions, and ran out the 4 gallons after every filter change. We even tried changing the filters out more often. Nothing improved the taste. Thumbs down for Kitchen Aid and Every Drop.

Wrong filter in spite of all my efforts[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I followed the sequence on the web site by filling in the model number, the filter received is half the legnth of the old one. Foolishly, I assumed that it might work anyway and inserted it. The fridge appears happy in that the filter light is no longer red, but the icemaker (which prompted my changing the filter) still doesn't work, and it appears that the only way I will ever get this one out will be a call to a repair person, if even that. This thing may be stuck there until I repalce the refrigerator, so no, I would recommend neither the product nor the website to a friend. Pretty much a disaster.

Filter prongs too long will not allow to lock[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 6th filter & I have to(carefully) trim prongs to get it locked in but over time it will unlock. Locking mechanism works as should. The original filter had this same problem and it is the correct filter for this refrigerator/freezer: REFRIGERATOR MODEL #: ASI2275FRW00 - FILTER: EVERYDROP EDR1RXD1
I have discussed this problem with tech and not gotten satisfactory help. I think you make a good filter but there is just the problem with the prongs too long since I can trim them and it will lock for a while, I am afraid to trim too much they are too expensive. Any help would be appreciated..

Defective. Causes loud noise.New filters are defective. I purchased these a year ago, and those filters worked just fine. However, I purchased 2 filters last month and both of those filters cause the fridge to make a loud hammering / clunking noise when water is trying to be dispensed. As soon as I put the old filter back in, the noise does not occur.
I don't know if there is a bad batch, or if the filter is somehow too tightly packed for water to properly get through it, but BOTH new filters have the same problem. They are unusable. The water flow itself is also very limited, and at times doesn't even come out. So, for now, I'm stuck using my old filter.

Water flow problem.I installed an everydrop filter on 11/29/18. In March 2019 the water flow from the dispenser dropped to a much lower flow rate. It was taking 42 sec to fill an 8 once glass. I removed the filter and installed it again with the same result. I removed the filter and checked the flow rate with out the filter per operating instructions. A cup was filled in 6 sec and the flow rate was strong. I installed a new everydrop filter and the flow rate is strong. Fills an 8 once glass in 12 sec. Something happened to the everydrop filter to cause the flow rate to reduce. I hope the new filter will last 6 months.

Also getting loud noiseI'm having the same issue as reviewer Jon F. Ever since last replacing my EDR1RXD1 filter (not sure what's the difference between the EDR1RXD1 and EDR1RXD2 filters, they both have the "1" in the purple circle on the label) whenever I get water or ice and get "grunt" or "crunch" sound from either inside the refrigerator or the water line connecting to it. I also get it when I flush the toilet in the adjoining powder room and sometimes when using the kitchen sink. It's been doing this for some time, and doesn't seem to be hurting anything, but when I saw Jon's post, it sounded identical to my situation, so thought I'd chime in.

Outside refrigerator Walter filter[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had the outside refrigerator water filter for about 6 months. I love the fact that I can have filtered water on my refrigerator. BUT...I have to throw away the first glass of water each time I want to use it. It has a bad taste to the water. Like stale plastic or something. After the first glass, the water is fine. But if I’m just getting a glass of water at a time, it’s annoying! When I have company, I have to tell them not to use it, or have water already in the refrigerator. I was hoping a new filter would be different, but the new filter does the same thing.

Easy to install, leak-free, and noticeably improve[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the EveryDrop Ice & Water Refrigerator Filter 1 and I’m very satisfied with the performance. Installation was quick and straightforward with clear instructions, and it fit perfectly without any leaks. After replacing the old filter, the water tasted noticeably cleaner and fresher, and the ice was clear with no odor. The filter runs quietly and doesn’t affect the refrigerator’s performance at all. Maintenance is simple, and I appreciate the peace of mind knowing my family is drinking filtered, high-quality water. Overall, this is a reliable and effective refrigerator filter.

Doesn't work consistently.Have to remove filter, shake it, tap it, reinstall it and it will work briefly. Have purged 4 gallons of water as recommended, still only works briefly. This is now the third one to do this to me. Sadly it's the only one that fits my frig. OEM filter, now discontinued, always worked perfectly. This one provides great water when it will actually dispense. Manufacturer needs to address this as it is apparently a fairly common complaint.
