Filters do not last 6 months. They slow the water down in about less than 2 months. I have wasted a lot of money buying filters and throwing them out after 2 months of use. I also spent 300 dollars for the local appliance service person to come in and take a look at the water dispenser, only to tell me what I already knew... "It is due to a faulty filter". I understand 1 or 2 faulty filters every once in a while, but the last 4 filters all did the same thing; the water stream was good for a couple of months and then down to almost nothing coming out of the dispenser. Not sure if there are any other filters I can try. Or just switch on to Brita!!!!

Whats up?
The first 4 or five filters we purchased worked fine and allowed good flow ! However the last three have seemed to plug and slow the flow considerably. Its definitely not a problem with the water pressure being supplied to the fridge because its quite high. If i take the filter out and drain it and then put it back in it seems to work good for a couple gallons and then slows down to a trickle. Im guessing its because of DEFECTIVE FILTERS !! The water quality in our area is quite good so that also would not be the problem. All right everydrop, its time to own up !!!

Unacceptable filter lifespan
We purchased our Whirlpool fridge about a year and a half ago and everything worked perfectly. After our first filter change, it continued to work well. The next filter change gave us good water flow for a month or so before it was reduced to a trickle. We had ordered 2 filters that time, so I replaced it with the remaining filter. Again, we had good water flow for about a month and a half before it diminished dramatically. I understand that the filter is necessary, but they are far too expensive to replace every month and a half when they should last six months. This performance is simply unacceptable.

Water taste terrible
I’ve had this filter on a subscription to be auto shipped every 6 months for quite some time. The last filter I received was awful. My water tasted so bad my dog didn’t even want to drink it. It left an aftertaste for at least 10 minutes. I’ve never had that before. I ran it for a few weeks thinking it needed some time but it never got better. I ultimately had to replace with a much cheaper filter. My off brand has returned my water quality to clean, filtered, and no horrible aftertaste. I’ve cancelled my auto ship and will not be using this brand anymore. On the positive side…my off brand saves me a lot of money!

NEEDS TAMPER RESISTENT PACKAGING!
The filter is fine, the packaging needs to be tamper resistant. These high priced filters are easily repackaged and returned with used filters and no way for the customer to know they are getting an unused filter or not. Why haven't this been done already? I would never purchase this from a store and am dubious about the ones received from the subscription.

Low flow, sounds like jackhammer when dispensing
Have bought several Filter4 in the past, and they worked fine. The brand new filter4 I installed yesterday makes a sound like a jackhammer when we try to dispense, and only a trickle comes out. Never seen this behavior before. We tried running 4 gallons through, as the manual recommends (which took FOREVER), AND STILL HAVE LOW FLOW / JACKHAMMER NOISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reinstalled old filter and no noise with normal flow.

Everydrop Filter #4 is a defective product
I've had a Jenn Air refrigerator since 2011 and have had no problem with water fllters until recently. I purchased the Everydrop Filter #4 which was the replacement for the older filter I had. It worked okay for about a week, then the flow was dramatically reduced, it began pulsating, and the filter made a pulsing sound. There is nothing wrong with the refrigerator. I thought that it was just a defective unit so I bought several more. They all do that. I've found that if I remove the filter, shake out some water, & put it back in it works for about a week. Then it happens again in about a week. This is a defective product. On the internet I've found that many others have reported the same issue with this filter. Something has changed in the manufacturing process and the product is defective. I'm going to switch to a generic filter. I am trying to return the unused filters I bought and get a refund but am afraid I will wind up eating the cost of this overpriced defective replacement part. Buyer beware!!!

Flooded my kitchen
I have tried two of these new filters....the first one completely flooded my kitchen. The seam at the top is poor quality and busted without me knowing it. Fortunately I was home and heard water running somewhere, only to find my entire kitchen flooded. Opened the fridge and water was spewing everything from the filter as it has basically busted at the seam at the top. Thought maybe it was defective so tried another one....same thing, however, luckily this time I caught it just as it was starting to leak. They seem fine at first, then after about 2 weeks, they collapse and start leaking. The quality is poor on these...especially for the price! Can I have the old one back? Those worked perfectly!

Quality Issue
Up to this point these filters have been perfect. I have replaced the filter twice in the last 6 months because it is not flowing as previously. I have religiously changed the filter every six months since I purchased my fridge, not sure what is going on with the filters. Was there a bad batch or a recall I missed?

very poor and slow water dispensing
We have had issues with these filters. The water barely comes out, and we have checked for blockages, water pressure issues, kinks in the refrigerator water lines,, and we even replaced with another new filter. Only a few drops or a very thin stream comes out at a time, We have not had these several issues before. Did they change the filters? Additionally, we entered the serial numbers to find if we did indeed have the correct filter and the model number for our Kitchen Aid fridge did not even come up.
