Combine ingredients at speed one for slowly stirring in chunky ingredients, speed six for mixing bread batter and creaming butter and sugar, then speed nine for whipping meringue.

The current space in my kitchen does not allow me keep a stand mixer. This hand mixer is quieter then most and mixes through thicker dough without burning the motor.

I wanted a Kitchenaid because I have several of their appliances already like a wall oven, cooktop and stand mixer. I also wanted the 9 speed because of all the features, the extra attachments, storage bag for the attachments and a cord wrap for storing the mixer, and the colour, what's not to love? A 9 speed too for the power it gives. It's quieter than the one I replaced so all round I'm happy again with Kitchenaid!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Occasional baker from So far so good I have only used the beaters and the whisk so far, but both performed well. I did have some trouble getting the attachments to click in, but that may just be a matter of becoming more familiar with the mixer. I really like the gradual increase in speed - means less splattering - and the fact that it's so quiet. I don't have room for a stand mixer, but I think this hand mixer will do everything I need. Great colour too.

With 4 different types of mixing attachments (beaters, dough hooks, whisk and liquid blending rod.) and 9 mixing speeds this kitchen appliance is perfect for every kitchen project, whether it be whipping or emulsifying egg whites and whipped cream, beating cake batter or cookie dough, kneading bread or pizza dough, or even making the perfect smoothie, this appliance does it all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Weaselhead from Powerful Mixer For It's Size When replacing a competitor's defective(lemon) hand mixer, I went back to the line that has always been my favourite- KITCHENAID. With 9 speeds it's easy to make any cake or dessert. Right now it's being used for pudding and that needs a steady and slow speed. Carrier bag is useful as is the range of beaters/paddles. Kitchenaid stands behind its products and my 12 cup food processor is as good as any big machine that I have used. I will buy Kitchenaid in the future, again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Reny from Dough Hog!! I love this little mixer. I am the type of baker that views it as therapy. I've had this mixer for 12 years. That equals roughly 200-300 dozen cookies, 40-50 loaves of quick breads, 12+ cakes and tons of mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes per year. It whines a bit as it's getting on in years. It hasn't affected it one bit. It just keeps cranking. I will definitely replace it with the same one when it finally goes.

It has good strong attachments, not plastic, and it is quiet and smooth in operation. Love the storage bag for the attachments so they don't clutter a drawer. Finally, someone is thinking about the pesky cord and has included the cord wrap on the cord itself.

Live in a small space and the convenience and ease of this product is a fabulous addition to our kitchen. We still love and will use our standmixer, but having this as an easy grab for small jobs has been a wonderful addition. Can't say enough about it really, just a terrific asset to our kitchen.
