Rated 4 out of 5 by CaptainFreon from Great Design, but a glaring quality issue This is a great design that matches our KitchenAid appliances. The features and performance are top notch. The included convection accessories are very good quality. I like that the tones and display are the same as the double oven. Microwaves often look like the afterthought of the kitchen, but not this one. The only issue was that the KitchenAid badge was not centered on the oven door. Hopefully, warranty service can resolve that. It is off center by about 1.5 inches! How this one ever passed QA on the assembly line is surprising for a premium brand. Other than that, it is a tremendous unit and I would purchase it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Roserae from Love the features! We have had this microwave for about 6 months and have explored all the features. They all really work well! The “reheat” feature has heated up everything from soup to full meals and they are all perfectly hot throughout but not over cooked. It senses the food and cooks as long as needed. The crisper function is amazing! Re-heated pizza comes out oven fresh in half the time. The steamer also uses a sensing function and it works perfectly. This was an expensive purchase but definitely worth it. The convection oven works wonderfully and functions as a second oven in our home when we need one. Love it!

I am moving and will buy this microwave again and have it built into my new home. as I am spoiled now with it's features. I had never had a "crisp" convection microwave before so got out the manual to learn how to use it - and so glad I did! The Crisp feature is the best thing they've come up with in a microwave.....No need for a toaster oven. Cook pizza in it, French fries. I even "fried" breaded catfish in it. Done in 4 minutes with no mess/smell!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Lucy0905 from Convection not working. I just had this installed Two weeks ago. I tried using the convection mode but seemed to take forever to heat up. I gave up and used a toaster oven. I had more time the second attempt and set the temp at 400 degrees. After 20 min the oven just shut off when it reached 360. I restarted but it still was not working properly. I called customer service and the earliest they could make a service call is 12/26. Stay tuned for further developments.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PWF5 from This microwave needs a much better user guide. The microwave oven was installed a month ago. It has worked well in every respect, so far as I have tested it. It is a very attractive appliance. The only reason I have rated it as four stars instead of five is that the user guide and on line videos present very little advice on how to take full advantage of the microwave’s many features, such as the steam function or the crisper function. So I am learning by trial and error. Wouldn’t it make sense to provide a more comprehensive user guide on how to maximize the customer’s satisfaction with this expensive built-in appliance?

Rated 1 out of 5 by MaryHe from Not Happy with Purchase I bought this KitchenAid Convection Microwave in November and spent over $1400 with installation. The microwave has the most uneven heating I have ever experienced. Food is frozen on one side and crisp on the other! I have a qualified tech looking at the unit as I am writing this and he contacted KitchenAid and they told him that there is nothing wrong with the unit and said it is customer error. The tech sees my problem but KitchenAid is still blaming it on user error. I’ve owned a number of microwaves in my life which we under $500 and have never had anything like this. Save your money and buy a cheaee microwave which works better! Very Unhappy!

The only and biggest negative is that not only was there no printed manual, there were no instructions online. So it has been trial and error, and although it has worked well, it would have been really helpful to know what was safe to do and/or not.

Rated 3 out of 5 by rk from Fan Noise out of the box Bought this microwave December 3rd week 2016. As soon as my technician installed and turned on, the fan started making loud noise. I called support and due to lack of resource during vacation, it was not fixed till today. I got a tech appointment today and he fixed it. It was noticed that during manufacturing, the fan screws were not tightened. Wouldn't there be a Quality control for the products that are manufactured ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by CDCm3 from Easy Convection Purchased this with our new home choosing the micro/convection instead of dual wall ovens. Very happy. The convection oven works beautifully as that additional oven I need fir the holidays. The microwave is excellent for the usual uses. Door closed sensor is very sensitive so sometimes open and shut again, but no big deal and safety is a good thing.

First off it did not fit the cut out area in the cabinet and after spend over 2000.00 dollars for this unit we had to get a trim kit costing an additional 150.00 dollars. The how to use books are not helpful and vague. My old one had stick on guide as you opened it that helped you find the correct power for various foods for cooking , reheating etc. this one is extremely lacking. I also hate the digital read out. Too much black. Also hate the red trim on the handle. There was no store in Denver, Co that I could see this replacement and I had to order only seeing the picture. Did popcorn in it and it performed poorly.
