36-Inch 5-Element Induction Cooktop, Architect® Series II

This 5-element induction cooktop combines precision and speed. Electromagnetic technology directly heats the pan while keeping the cooktop surface cool to the touch. Twelve power levels give you the power to rapidly bring water to a boil and sear scallops to perfection. A bridge function combines the power of four elements into two large cooking zones for specialty cookware.

12 Heat Level Settings

Provide various levels of heat to fine tune cooking techniques ranging from melting chocolate and simmering a sauce to searing meat or achieving a rapid boil.

4 Elements with Bridge Functions

Allows the flexibility to convert four cooking zones into two large cooking zones which provides additional space to accommodate specialty cookware.

5-Element Cooktop

Provides five independent cooking surface areas.

Offers two element sizes in one space to accommodate a variety of pan sizes without changing elements and allows you the power needed to cook at high heat.

Control Lock

Disables cooking mode for easy cleaning when not in use.

Melt and Hold

Uses low power levels for melting delicate ingredients or keeping cooked food warm without scorching.

Pan Size Detection

recognizes the size and placement of cookware to generate heat directly within the pan. Display will alert you if you turn the cooktop on without a pan on the selected element or if your pan is not compatible with induction cooking.

Performance Boost

Allows you to exceed the maximum heat-level setting for up to 10 minutes, perfect for rapid boiling

Simmer Function

Automatically selects a low power level to help maintain a constant simmer without boiling over.

After the electrician figured it out and corrected the problem it works great. Took a few tries to get used to the new induction heating. Had to discard some of the new pans we had purchased (aluminum). Overall we are very pleased with the product. Boils water very fast and cooks almost instantly. Looks nice and cleans up easily.

Installation was a breeze and the digital controls rapid and responsive. I'm so glad there's no place for grime to hide under buttons and knobs

Rated 5 out of 5 by decurb from Great style and function with one minor drawback We just started using this cooktop so this review is not based on long usage. So far we are very pleased with the cooktop. It is extremely fast in heating up proper cookware and we really appreciate the similarity to gas cooking due to the actually reduction in heat to the cookware as soon as you lower the setting. (As opposed to standard electric cooktops which do not immediately cool down) One main concern, or disappointment, is the very dim outlines for the actual cooking rings. It is just difficult to see if your cookware is in the best position. But this is minor. We were also surprised by the humming sound that is generated when heating up cookware on high setting. But we verified this at a friend's house also, so not much we can do about it.

It is super easy to operate, the burners are spaced apart nicely and the dual size burners are a major plus. It is beautiful, clean, classy, sleek looking too!
