Precision speed control
What does KitchenAid mean by Preset Speed mode and Precision Speed mode?
The preset speeds or detent settings (e.g., Speed 1, 2, 3) represent specific, predefined speed levels. The Precision Speed mode offers continuous speed control for more gradual and fluid adjustments across the speed range. While the continuous mode can approach the same performance as distinct speeds, its fluid nature means there might be slight variations compared to the fixed steps of the detent mode.
Why do I need both the Preset Speed Mode and Precision Mode options?
The Preset Speed controls allow you to select a specific, predefined speed for your recipe. This is particularly useful for certains tasks which call for specific speeds, Such as kneading dough. In addition, KitchenAid offers 10+ attachments to enable you to do even more with your Stand Mixer. Each of our attachments have a recommended speed for best results, the Preset speed control enables you to click directly to the desired speed. The Precision Mode allows for finer, more gradual adjustments. Use it when precise control over speed is desired.
What is the purpose of the Fold or ½ Speed?
