How do I automate cooking with the KitchenAid® Grain and Rice Cooker?

The KitchenAid® Grain and Rice Cooker is a streamlined experience. Just select what you're cooking from one of 16 preset options, then add your ingredients to the cooking pot. The KitchenAid® Grain and Rice Cooker automatically senses how much grain you’ve added using an integrated scale, dispenses the right amount of water from the tank, and then simmers to the perfect texture, every time.

Can I customize cooking settings?

Yes. The Custom Cycle feature allows you to experiment with a variety of grains, beans and rice beyond the preset optoins, or add liquids other than water, like broth, directly to the cooking pot. Select the type of custom cycle, between Custom Rice, Custom Bean, Custom Small Grain or Custom Large Grain. Then, follow the screen prompts to add food and liquid and start cooking. Once complete, you can save your settings to create a new Custom Preset.

Can I soak foods before cooking?
