Sun-Dried Tomato Walnut Pesto

Ingredients
1 pinch red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/3 cup grated parmesan (or 2 teaspoons sweet white, yellow, or chickpea miso paste)
1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic (1 clove)
1/2 cup raw walnuts
1 cup basil leaves (firmly packed)
1 cup sun-dried tomatoes (soft)
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
Step by step
Throw the ingredients into your KitchenAid® blender in the order listed. Secure the lid, remove the center lid cap, and insert the tamper. Blend on high for 30 to 60 seconds using the tamper to guide the ingredients through the blades until well combined and to your desired consistency. (You may need to stop the machine and scrape down the sides of the container.)
Serve with cooked pasta or spiralized noodles; as a dip with crackers, bread, or crudités; or slathered on sandwiches and wraps.
