    Ingredients

    edible glitter (optional)

2 tablespoons finely crushed peppermint candies (optional)

    ½ cup white chocolate chips

    ½ cup mini marshmallows

    ⅛ teaspoon peppermint extract

    1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

    Pinch of salt

    2 tablespoons powdered milk

    2 tablespoons powdered sugar

    2 tablespoons cocoa powder

    Step by step

    1. In a small bowl, mix cocoa powder, powdered sugar, powdered milk and pinch of salt to make the hot cocoa mix.

    2. Gently melt semi-sweet chocolate chips over a double boiler. Brush melted chocolate onto 2-inch round silicone molds. This will make 12 half-shells. Freeze for 5 minutes. Then re-brush with melted chocolate to make sure there are no holes or gaps in the shells. Freeze again for 5 minutes.

    3. Gently pop hardened shells out of molds. Fill the bottom halves with 1 tablespoon of the hot cocoa mix and 5-6 mini marshmallows.

    4. Place a dinner plate on top of the double boiler to heat it up. Put the top half of the shell on the plate with the rim down. The heat of the plate will melt the edge of the chocolate, giving you a glue that will hold the pieces together. Put the top shell over the bottom and push to seal.

    5. Gently melt the white chocolate chips and drizzle the melted white chocolate on top of the bombs. Sprinkle finely crushed peppermint candies and edible glitter on top if desired. Refrigerate for 5 minutes for the chocolate to solidify.

    6. To make the Peppermint Mocha: Make 1 shot of espresso using your KitchenAid Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine in a medium-sized mug. Place bomb on top and pour 8 ounces of steamed milk on top. Let sit for 15 seconds then stir and enjoy! Note: Peppermint Mocha Bombs should be consumed on the same day they are made.
