Ingredients
red onion rings (optional, for serving)
sliced tomatoes (optional, for serving)
lettuce leaves (optional, for serving)
16 slider buns
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce (for burgers)
2 pounds ground beef
3 green onions (chopped)
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
8 ounces fresh lump crabmeat
Dash cayenne pepper
1 garlic clove (minced)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (for crab dip)
2 teaspoons lemon juice
3 teaspoons seafood seasoning
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream (8 oz.)
1 package cream cheese (softened, 8 oz. per package)
Step by step
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a KitchenAid Stand mixer using the Flat Beater Accessory, beat the first 8 ingredients until smooth. Stir in crabmeat and 1 cup cheese.
Transfer to a greased 1 qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese and green onions. Bake until heated through and cheese is melted, 25-30 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine ground beef and Worcestershire sauce. Shape ground beef into sixteen 1/2-inch thick patties.
Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat, or broil 4 inches from the heat until a thermometer reads 160°F, 2-3 minutes on each side.
Serve patties topped with warm crab dip on buns. Serve with toppings as desired.
Preparation Tips: Instead of dirtying a cutting board and knife to chop green onions, snip them with kitchen scissors.
