This 30” gas cooktop includes Downdraft, an integrated ventilation system that doesn’t require a separate hood. The cooktop features a 17K BTU professional burner to achieve both high heat needed for searing and low simmer settings. The 5K BTU Even-Heat™ Simmer Burner enables precise simmering and melting while the 300 CFM exhaust rating means the venting can handle it all.

Downdraft Ventilation

Integrates the ventilation system into the cooking surface so that a separate hood is not needed. Smoke and odors can be removed and taken outside or filtered and recirculated inside. A duct-free kit is available for purchase separately.

17K BTU Professional Burner

Provides the ability to use high-temperature cooking methods such as searing, stir-frying, and wok cooking as well as low temperatures suitable for simmering.

5K BTU Even-Heat™ Simmer Burner

A diffuser plate allows more control of the flame at the lowest setting, for more precise simmering and melting.

300 CFM Exhaust Rating

Handles the venting requirements of high temperature cooking techniques like pan searing and stir-frying.

3-Speed Fan Control

Can be precisely matched to cooking needs, effectively removing steam, grease, and odors from the air.

15K BTU Professional Burner

Reaches the high temperatures required to quickly get liquids to a boil and for high-temperature cooking techniques including getting a great sear on meat.

Convertible to Duct-Free Ventilation

Allows a downdraft cooktop to be placed nearly anywhere in the kitchen using a duct-free conversion kit (not included). This filters and recirculates the air without running ductwork, ideal for kitchens with installation restrictions or ducting limitations.

Melt Cap

Melt chocolate or butter, simmer delicate sauces, or poach eggs on a low-power burner, thanks to a wider burner cap that shields and diffuses the flame to produce a gentler, low-power heat.

Electronic Ignition and Automatic Re-Ignition

Lights burners with an electric spark instead of a pilot light. For more reliable performance, burners are relit if the flame is blown out.

Stainless Steel Knobs

Enhance the look of the cooktop surface with sturdy construction that adds to their premium feel.

Full-Width Cast-Iron Grates

Enhance the beautiful look of the cooktop and allow easy movement of cookware around the entire cooking surface.

LP Conversion Kit Included

Allows you to convert the cooktop so it can be used with LP gas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cooktop! Just installed it in our new kitchen and love it! Easy to hook up and love the features. Only thing to note is that the downdraft does pull the flame slightly, but that’s too be expected with this type. Great purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Replacement I needed a 30" downdraft cooktop to replace a 22 year old Jenn-Air model and this fit the bill. It was a direct drop in replacement. I did switch from electric to gas but the counter cut-out was fine. I also had to make some minor exhaust vent changes. This unit has a 6" exhaust but my vent is 5". I placed a reducer on the unit and plumbed it into the existing exhaust with a couple of new elbows. The supplied air filter is about 1 inch short of covering the entire exhaust. I was also missing two screw on one corner of the chassis. Just an oversight by the assembler. It is pretty easy to turn on the burners when you are cleaning it, so wipe gently. The fan noise is less than the old Jenn-Air.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elegant, Flexible and Enery-Efficient This instant-on, variable heat gas cooktop with downdraft is a cook's dream. With different size burners and adjustments that allow for precise temperatures, this cooktop is wonderfully functional. The stylish stainless steel base and knobs round out a wonderful look and the downdraft venting works well and is easy to clean. With I had room for the wider cooktop, but if space is a limitation, this cooktop is one of the best all around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Cooktop I bought this last month to replace existing Infared Cooktop. It fix the existing opening and Downdraft was exactly where installation instructions said it would be. Really love the heavy duty continuous grates and the ledge that prevents downdraft from affecting the flame.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this replacement so far from my electric I just noticed several scratches and nicks on the metal, inside the grates, and a few outside from the heavy grates I am extremely careful in wiping and cleaning. What is the recommended cleaning method? How could these tiny scratches appear ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Replacement we have had this for about 6 weeks. It replaces a JennAir "gas on Glass" down draft cooktop which was about 8 years old. So far it is a great improvement! The Jenn Air was nearly impossible to keep clean, the igniters basically quit working after about 6 years, the fan worked sporadically, and we had to replace the knobs (plastic, but looked metal) 3 times ( at $70 each time). So far this cooktop is very good.. Like the variable burner BTUs (from simmer (5000) to power (17,000). And the simmer burner is in the rear , as opposed to the front on the Jenn Air. It is much easier to keep clean, and the knobs are actually metal! Some of the reviews mention that the fan "draws the flame toward the fan"; I have had 3 downdraft cooktops/ranges, and have found this to be the case for all of them. (Minor inconvenience in my opinion.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from POOR QUALITY We purchased this cooktop as a replacement because we remodeled our kitchen. When it was taken out of the box we noticed that the knobs were not aligned, a wire was sticking out of one of the knobs, and the paint on one of the grates were chipping. We called Kitchenaid and they sent a tech out twice. The tech said both times that since the unit works correctly Kitchenaid probably won’t do anything. We are VERY disappointed with this product as we paid a lot of money for it and expected better quality.
