Ingredients

3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk

1/2 cup vegan butter-style sticks (cubed and frozen)

1 teaspoon salt

3 teaspoons baking powder

2 cups all-purpose flour

Step by step

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.

  2. In a KitchenAid Food Processor, combine flour, baking powder and salt; pulse until blended. Add vegan butter; pulse until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add almond milk; pulse just until moistened.

  3. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; knead gently 8-10 times.

  4. Pat or roll dough to 3/4-inch thickness. Cut with a floured 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter. Place 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet.

  5. Bake until golden brown, 12-14 minutes. If desired, brush with additional melted vegan butter. Serve warm.
