Ingredients
1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
1 1/2 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
4 cardamom pods, crushed
6 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
1 1/2 cups unfiltered apple cider
Thin strips of orange peel from 1 orange, peeled with a potato peeler
3 sprigs fresh rosemary
1/4 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed (from 1 orange)
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
Step by step
Add all the ingredients to a small saucepan and cook over medium heat until sugar completely dissolves and syrup gets hot, about 5 minutes. Remove the saucepan from heat, cover, and let steep for 10 minutes.
Strain syrup and chill in the KitchenAid® French Door Refrigerator until at least room temperature for up to one week. Combine 1 to 2 tablespoons syrup with 8 to 12 ounces cold sparkling water and a few ice cubes. Adjust to taste.
Add all the ingredients to a small saucepan and cook over medium heat until apple cider reduces by half, about 10 to 15 minutes.
Strain syrup and chill in the Refrigerator until at least room temperature for up to one week. Combine 1 to 2 tablespoons syrup with 8 to 12 ounces cold sparkling water and a few ice cubes. Adjust to taste.
Add cranberries, water, sugar, and vanilla bean (seeds and pod) to a small saucepan and cook over medium heat until sugar completely dissolves and cranberries begin to break down when pressed against the edge of the pot with a wooden spoon, about 10 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat, cover, and let steep for 10 minutes.
Strain syrup and chill in the Refrigerator until at least room temperature and up to a week. Combine 1 to 2 tablespoons syrup with 8 to 12 ounces cold sparkling water and a few ice cubes. Adjust to taste.
