Chili Roasted Okra

Ingredients

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 pound fresh okra

Step by step

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.

  2. Wash and dry the okra.

  3. Slice off the tops and cut the okra lengthwise.

  4. Place the cut okra onto a quarter or half baking sheet, leaving plenty of space between each piece.

  5. Drizzle with the sesame oil. Add the red pepper flakes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Roast the okra for 15 minutes, turning once.

  7. Remove from the oven and enjoy as a warm snack or side dish.
