The KitchenAid brand was born in Troy, Ohio, with the introduction of the first electrical “food preparer” for the home. Advertising was developed emphasizing how the KitchenAid® Stand Mixer stirs, beats, cuts, creams, slices, chops and strains using electricity.

… TO AN AMERICAN ICON

The basic design of the now legendary stand mixer has remained unchanged to this very day. Several models are now housed at the Smithsonian Institute, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art named it an “American Icon.”
