Power of motor is weak
I bought this hand mixer thinking kitchenaid made quality products but I'm very disappointed with the turbo beater 5 speed. I expected the speed to be beyond par compared with other generic hand mixers but the speed on this mixer couldn't even make stiff peaks in my egg whites or whipping cream. I'm going to buy a generic hand mixer and return this product as it did not deliver and it has made me think twice about buying any other of their products in the future.

Beaters are definitely faulty
I have had my mixer for a few yrs. Almost immediately my one beater lost a segment - or tine. I have used it this way because i don't want to buy another set. Of course it doesn't work well (vibrates pretty wildly). I expect the whole thing to fail before too long. 14.99 for something that should have lasted for years!!! No way would I invest more.

Broken beaters
The hand mixer worked great until both beaters broke. The design seems flawed.

Why are they all breaking?
Love the hand held mixer. It seems the problem with the mixer is the beaters. Why are the beaters breaking? I pretty much only use them for eggs or potatoes. Not tough to mix. Secondly what are you doing to rectify the problem?

Broken beaters again
This is the second time beaters have broken. Will not replace a third time as the cost wil go over what I initially paid for the mixer. Am going to throw it out and get a new one of a different brand.

Useless beaters
My beaters have also broken.....very disappointed and replacement price is ridiculous compared to prime of new mixer.

Awful thin beaters.
Nice quiet hand mixer but awful beaters. The steel is so thin that they break making this $50.00 appliance useless. I received this as a gift. Poor design.

Loved my mixer until....
I loved my Kitchen Aid hand mixer until my beater fell apart two nights ago while making a cheese cake for a work dinner. It jammed my mixer and I was really afraid that it was going to burn the motor up. It did turn on after it sat for a while, but not sure what will happen if/when I get new beaters for it. I had to finsh up 1st layer and do 2nd layer by hand, which is not that big of a deal, except that is why I bought a mixer- and chose to spend a little more on the KitchenAid. I have several other KitchenAid products and have always believed you get what you pay for and that the KitchenAid brand was a no brainer quality product. However, after reading all of the reviews concerning the "bad beater" issue I am NOT happy. This has been an ongoing problem and is yet to be resolved- what is going on Kitchen Aid??

Bad Beaters
I was surprised to see how many other users had this same problem. My beater split at the top after about a month of using. Bad design.
