Rated 5 out of 5 by Woofaloo from Awesome. One of the Best Attachments My husband gave this to me for Christmas and I used it too soft confectioners sugar for icing. It measured and sifted the right amount which yielded fluffy icing for my Christmas cake. The chute is adjustable from side to side and expandable to ensure the sugar or flour makes into the bowl. Just don’t use it on the higher speeds as you will end up with a dust cloud. Slower speeds work fantastic. I can’t wait to see what I get for my birthday in 4 days. I’m sure it’s a Kitchenaid product- my best friend in the kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Patric G from Face Mask Required Purchased from a well-known retailer, I was excited to use this attachment. I wanted to make the job of sifting easier and more efficient. However, I found that the process of sifting flour into the mixing bowl to be a very messy process... even with the hopper lid in place! Fine flour dust escaped into the air while traveling down the chute into the bowl, covering all of my surrounding black appliances! No time was saved, and even more was used to clean everything up! I did note that the mesh is weave is quite wide, so this will not be preferable for some recipes that require a double-meshed sift. I’ll try it again, but I don’t see how this flour dust storm can be avoided, even with adjusting the flow valve. I didn’t think I’d need to wear my face mask while baking.

I had the bad habit of having a heavy hand when it came to measuring flour and many of my cookies came out so dry ,and to be able to sift all the dry ing. together and have them slide down the shoot is the greatest invention since sliced bread. thank you for this great and oh so useful attachment
