I love to make quiches so this has been an extremely valuable tool for making my quiches. The shredded cheese is always so perfect when I use this! If you do any sort of shredding/ slicing you need to get this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cardinal53s from Terrific Bundle [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got, and used, a KitchenAide Food Grinder + Fresh Prep Slicer/Shredder Attachment Bundle and love the versatility it has provided for my KitchenAide stand mixer unit. All of the parts are easy to attach, detach, to use and to clean. I've been able to use my mixer for so many other things now because of this attachment bundle. I am thrilled with it. And the clean-up being easy is always a bonus in my book. We like to grind meat to make our own summer sausage, cooking sausage & burger etc and it works very well for that. It has worked great with each other use we've tried it for too. Since getting, and using, this attachment bundle I've given our large Oster electric countertop grinder to our son since he uses a grinder for things too, which in turn has saved me some counter space. I also gave him our old electric Salad Shooter which still works wonderful but took up space. So actually this KitchenAide attachment bundle has saved me ample space and has made no need for me to keep those 2 other appliances anymore plus the storage case for this attachment bundle is so convenient. It's just been a joy to have and I look forward to many more years of using it!

These attachments are perfect for this purpose. It is SO easy to do- especially with potatoes and other veggies for salads and casseroles. And the cheese! You never have to worry again about cutting fingers on a grater. Another great purpose for these attachments is for grating cold butter to incorporate into scones. Really really really recommend this bundle!!

Both items were easy to attach to my Kitchen Aid mixer. I have used the grinder to grind chicken, ham and beef and was very pleased. The slicer worked perfectly to slice my vegetables for my salads and to grate my cheese for casseroles. Blades, slicer and pusher are dishwasher safe. The housing is easy to clean by hand. A fantastic bundle that enables me to get more uses out of my mixer and I highly recommend.

I tried them each once and I think I just need some more practice with perfecting how to work it. Not everything came out as portrayed on the box. Clean up of course took a while, and is not my favorite part to hand wash everything. So my question is, is it really worth it?

They are very simple to connect and use. They are a great addition to the kitchen. They make kitchen time a little simpler. I used my shredder to grate cheese and it comes out so fluffy and perfect. I used my slicer to slice zucchini and squash. It sliced it nicely. But one thing I’ll need to figure out is how to make thicker slices. My casserole still came out perfect and I love that I didn’t have to cut all those veggies with a knife! My grinder attachment was pretty cool too. I chose to grind pork peices and I made a pork loaf out of the ground pork for the first time. I’m excited to try other meals with my new attachments.
