Add in a little online research about grinds and tamping and beans/bean quality, and a new burr grinder, and I have been delighted with the quality of drinks. A note on the automatic milk frother... After using it once, I probably won't be using it much. Too many more items to clean. Easier to just run a little extra steam out the wand after frothing/steaming the milk. Some reviews said that the steaming took too long ... perhaps coffee shop machines are a bit quicker, but this is fine. Everything feels like it is solidly built and assembled. Purchased mainly for lattes, but so far the iced Americano was particularly impressive!

As an Italian I knew that I loved espresso and the associated coffee drinks made with it. I did my research with the main brands of coffee grinders and espresso makers, and I kept coming back to Kitchenaid. The cost of all three was the cheapest going directly through Kitchenaid.com - And I check at Macy's, Amazon, and Kohl's (which even with the Kohl's Cash you would get, it was still cheaper going through Kitchenaid.com (and it's free shipping.) With features and functionality it proved to be that the Espresso Machine with Automatic Milk Frother attachment proved to be the solution to my needs. It produced non-bitter espresso shots with a good amount of creama - a perfect cup. The milk frother attachment helps me to add the needed heated milk and froth to my cappuccino and frappuccino. Yes. it's taste as an authentic drink should. The added grinder completes the package with the ability to grind the appropriate texture for the perfect espresso. I doubted it when I got it asking how often would I make an espresso - well, I can count on one hand how many days thus far that I "did not" make a fresh drink. I'm ordering more coffee beans.
