Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Machine Ever I bought the 7-quart mixer to supplement my 5-quart. As a home baker who has severe arthritis, I can no longer make bread by hand. My 7-quart mixes the bread and pastry doughs quickly and efficiently. I love my mixer for so many reasons: the power, the quietness, the capacity, and the slow stir. I also bake for large groups of people at a time. Making multiple batches of cookies at a time is wonderful. I let one of my friends borrow "The Beast," last week. She was so thrilled, she called me on her way to the outlet store to buy one for her own. I couldn't be happier with my mixer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 2nd KitchenAid Mixer I previously owned a refurbished 6 quart KA mixer for 25 years which was a workhorse, especially when Christmas came and I was compelled to bake 60+ dozen cookies in the space of 3 days. After rebuilding the motor twice, my husband agreed that it was time for a new one. In the week that I've had it, I've made cookies, a cake and some brownies and I must say, it outperformed my previous mixer, both in shortening mixer time and how well it attended the dough. I especially enjoy the fact that the mixing bowl and two of the attachments can go in the dishwasher. Of course, the real test comes in a few weeks with those holiday cookies... fingers crossed!
