This 36-inch electric cooktop has a sleek, ceramic-glass surface and touch-activated controls that add to its sleek design. You’ll get consistent temperatures without hot or cool spots and a range of simmer and melt settings. To maximize the 36-inch space, you get a triple-ring and two double-ring elements that let you match element performance to cookware size.
Maximizes your flexibility with three distinct sizes that allow for element selection based on cookware size.
Two 10''/6'' Double-Ring Round Elements
Create two elements in one location. The inner rings are used like standard six-inch elements. The outer rings add size and power for large cookware. A simmer function works on both the inner and outer element.
Even-Heat™ Simmer on All Elements
Gives you added versatility and takes the
guesswork out of finding the perfect power level for soups and sauces. Even-Heat™ elements offer customized heat control with a range of simmer settings.
Even-Heat™ Melt on All Elements
Provides the ability to get the low temperatures needed to melt chocolate or butter without scorching. The element uses Even-Heat™ technology to maintain a constant supply of power.
Keep Warm on All Elements
Provides an ultra-low electric element
output that does not exceed 100 watts. This makes it ideal for keeping cooked foods warm.
Control Lock Function
Helps prevent unintended use and makes it easier to clean the control panel.

5 Burner CooktopWe installed a 36” Kitchenaid ceramic cooktop 6-7 years ago and after 2-3 years the large, multiple ring burner began to get hotspots and heat unevenly higher in the lower left quadrant. This past week it cracked while cooking, and the burner was set at med-high. We will replace it, and I prefer KA, bu5 I am concerned about durability,as the home had a 20 year old Hotpoint ceramic that was still serviceable when we replaced it.

Gorgeous, but high maintenanceAfter 20+ years cooking on gas, I was forced to move to an electric cooktop as gas is not available in our area. The cooktop is easy to use, very intuitive and provides a surprising amount of control. However, in order to keep it pristine clean, special products--including a straight edge razor--are necessary.

UndecidedI love all the big burners and it responds really quickly to changing the temperature, but I’ve had it turn off on me for no reason. The first time I thought I must have hit the control buttons but the second time I wasn’t even near the cooktop at all. I’m hoping it’s just a fluke or something I did wrong.

Beautiful works great. We purchased this two months ago. It works great. The touch keys are very sensitive to touch. It is a bit hard to clean but it is a great addition to my updated kitchen. I would recommend it and heats well and looks beautiful.

Good cooktop for most usesThe cooktop is easy to use, easy to clean, and looks nice. It is not adequate for home canning since it is very difficult to keep a large canner at a consistent boil. Additionally, it was difficult to keep several pots (two of which were large) boiling at the same time.

36 inch cooktopThe cook-top is a real joy to use. The varied sizes on the heating elements are a safety element, allowing you to use smaller pots and pans without the handles getting too hot.The way the heating elements are arranged, allows use of all five at the same time. When not using the cook-top, the top can be used as counter space, which is great when you have the cook-top in your kitchen island. I am very happy with my kitchen aid cook-top.

Electronic malfunctionsI really like cooking on this cooktop, however we have been using it for less than a year and we already have had issues where the controls lock up and sometimes the cooktop will not come on without resetting the breaker. I'm not impressed with the quality.
