Good FeaturesI bought the KitchenAid Electric Cooktop because it had better ratings than other brands. I discovered that my current GE Cooktop had a smaller cutout and I had to have my granite folks cut a cutout to fit the KA. An expense I did not expect. I like the lack of a border accent (outer raised rim) on the KA because food is not trapped. On my previous GE, the outer raised rim trapped food and was difficult to clean. After a month, it is too early to write a comprehensive review on the KA electric cook top. I would recommend this cooktop to a friend if they were aware of the cutouts on their cooktop placement. The Lowes sales people should ask these questions about size of the cutout. Expensive lessons learned.

Pretty good cooktopIt has good heating and control but I would say maintaining it is too much work. It is very difficult to keep clean. After each use you have to clean the burners. They need to be cleaned even if you don’t spill anything. They have rings around them. It a 4 step process. You need to scrape first, wash with warm water and soap, use cleaning polish and rub dry. I had 2 GE cooktops. I used a Mr Clean sponge and windex and it was good to go....a breeze.

Glad I bought it!I'm really proud of my new KitchenAid 30-inch electric cooktop. It's nice-looking, and
the stainless steel finish goes with the rest of my kitchen, which I recently redid.
The controls are good-looking and work easily and well. One complaint my wife had
about the electric cooktop we formerly had was that you couldn't control the heat. The new cooktop controls it very well. It is a quality appliance.

Disappointed in this cooktopI replaced my 30 year old KitchenAid cooktop with this new one a few weeks ago and I wish I had my old one back. This cooktop does not visually show where the burners are at. Even while cooking you can lose sight of the burners if they are not red. Cooking has become difficult. I do not like this stovetop at all.
