Excellent knife!This is a great knife! It has a very sturdy blade and handle, and appears to be very well made. It fits comfortably in your hand. It slices through fruits, veggies, and meat very easily, and I'm sure I'll find many other uses for it. I love KitchenAid products and definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great multi-purpose kitchen knife!

Quality all aroundFrom the moment I opened the case for this knife I liked it. It just LOOKS well made. I picked it up and it FELT well made. Great balance, good weight I just roasted a 4 pound pork loin and used this knife for the very first time. It sliced through the meat like butter. Very smooth, even cut. I tried making the next slice fairly thin, once again the results were great. Since then I have used this knife over a dozen time with flawless results. Easy hand wash and dry with towel and it is ready to go again.

Great knife once you get used to it.Great mid size when chef's knife or paring knife not quite right size. Slicing garlic made easy.
It did take a few times of using to get used to the different size but once accustomed to the knife I use it a lot slicing meats and vegetables. It's well balanced, very sharp and sharpens easily.

I now know what a difference a quality knife can make!This is a great knife, I use it more than any other knife in the kitchen because it is what it says it is, a utility knife and a really good one at that, the quality is better than any I have owned and I have learned from using this knife that it is well worth the money and now I know why. I am going to save up and treat myself to the whole set, for my purposes I will probably never have to buy knives again.

Nice quality bladeIf the knife handle were more comfortable, I would recommend it. Kitchen Aide does such a wonderful job with ergonomically friendly handles on their pots and pans. I wish they carried it over to their knifes. Just not a comfortable knife to use. It needs that palm swell for more comfort. But, again the blade is nice quality.

Best knife I ownI received this knife a month or so ago. Since then, it's been the only knife I use consistently. It has a great weight and balance in my hands, and it cuts everything so smoothly. I've yet to sharpen it and it's still cutting like it's brand new.
It handles most jobs, meat, veg, fruit, herbs and fish. While it's ok with bread, I'd still recommend an actual bread knife, as there was some tearing.
Very pleased, though. Great quality and I would highly recommend

Greast KnifeI would give it five stars, but my husband has one complaint...the handle size. He, in no means, has gigantic hands, but he says the handle it a bit too small for him to use the knife comfortably for a long period of time. I, on the other hand, love this knife. I found it very easy to use, especially if I have a lot of prep work to do for a stew or lots of cutting of various types of foods, with an overall ease. I hand wash my knife, so it will stay nicer longer, but it says that it is dishwasher safe (but it also suggests to hand wash for longevity). I think this will be my go to utility knife for a long time. I am very happy with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested.
*Note: the packaging it comes in is quite nice too.
