Several problems
I purchased this about 6 weeks ago and have not been pleased. I have it set on dark and it barely toasts, and what is does toast is very uneven. I think the positioning of the dial is inconvenient.

Very disappointed
Burns everything on the second use, the first time is good but the second time it burns. If you’re just making a bagel or toast for one person it’s a good toaster, but the next person gets burnt toast. I have several Kitchenaid products and have never been disappointed until now. We’ve tried everything to find a good setting with no success. Looking for a new toaster.

I like controls on the side
I guess for the price, I was expecting better results. I like the side controls, as I have minimal counter space so it allows me to keep the toaster closer to the wall when in use and I never have to move it or arrange it in any other way. Just sits in the same spot and takes up very little foot space. Expecting results in that you have to turn the control up very high just to get browned toast. NOT DARK toast. Lightly browned.

Great size and light weight
This product is great, maybe toooo great. Be careful not to turn it too high. You can burn a toast easily. It cooks fast... cooks toster strudels, toasts, and bagles.
