Rated 1 out of 5 by from fills with water the lid is filled with water. if I shake it, some water comes out and the smell is horrific! I read all of these reviews and it doesn't seem as if the defect has been fixed. Why would I purchase a replacement part that is defective in its design?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product, even worse customer service I just experienced the same problem as everyone else with the top of this thing. It's full of water. I emailed customer service and they sent me an email back with the cleaning instructions, telling me they told me not to immerse in water. Well, I DIDN'T immerse anything in water. I simply washed it with under the running faucet, which to me is very different then immersion. They didn't care and since I've had it for over a year, they said I just need to buy another one for $29. Seriously??? This is a cheap plastic top that can't possibly cost them more then a few dollars to produce. I will not be buying any more kitchen aid products. Why would you when competitors such as Cuisinart and Breville provide such excellent customer service.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water inside the chopper Water has filled the inside of the chopper lid after cleaning it in the sink. There is no way to remove the water, so this is simply a waste.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water trapped in lid The chopper design is absolute junk. The blades do not create any vortex making it impossible to get an even chop. Water has filled the inside of the chopper lid after cleaning it in the sink. There is no way to remove the water, so this is simply a waste.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cover Jammed Used it first time and jammed cover like everyone else. gave up with screwdriver and rapped the narrow part of top on edge of counter. The top instantly popped off with no damage. Be gentle putting top on, never screw & never press hard. A and I will never wash, thanks to you all. Just wipe top down to clean.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water trapped in chopper lid Just like everyone else here, water is trapped inside the lid and can't get out. This is pretty disappointing how KA just keeps telling people to contact them and doesn't seem to provide a solution. Even if I get a replacement, same thing will happen again so what's the point?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Separating bowl from top My wife was using this for the first time ( I purchased it and hadn't used the chopper) and came to me with the chopper stuck together. I thought it was screwed together and was unable to get it apart. I sluethed the internet and perused you tube hoping for a solution. Nada. Once I determined that it was a press fit- I inserted a small regular blade screw driver into the joint between the two parts and gently twisted. Viola!! Instant separation. I worked the screwdriver around the circumference of the bowl and it released. It appears that if you twist the bowl and top together at any point it binds and is extemely difficult to get apart. I hope this helps someone.
