Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just as good as Architect I that we owned before We owned the Architect I series microwave/convection oven for over 12 years. It finally quit working (electronics) so we searched for a similar KitchenAid microwave since we were so happy with the first one. We found this Architect II microwave. Even though it is not the newest model, it does the best job of matching our KitchenAid oven located directly below the microwave. These KitchenAid products are excellent and we will continue to use their products due to their performance, dependability, and looks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly desinged Bought this about 9 months ago as part of our total kitchen remodeling. Annoying "feature" is that the fan stays ON if you let the timer cycle to complete even if it is a very short (say 10 second) operation. However, manually cancelling the warming operation stops the fan! Apparently it is a design feature, but from an engineering standpoint a very lousy one! Extremely annoying. Also, control panel is very poorly designed. Writings are too small and buttons too close together while there is plenty of blank space that could have been used for much better layout. Will not buy another one of these again, even the newer models!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product This is the third replacement we have received. The first one failed completely in three days. The second one would not complete a convection program. It had to be reset two or three times before it would complete the cycle. This third one freezes with an error message and cannot be restarted until we turn of the circuit and turn it back on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking and feature rich! We purchased this built-in microwave to replace our original built-in microwave when our home was built. We wanted to also match our new built-in microwave to a built-in oven and KitchenAid came to the rescue with this great looking stainless steel and feature rich built-in microwave. We purchased it after looking at it online and were worried the unit would not be what we expected, but we were overjoyed when it arrived and was installed. It fits well, looks great and we are still learning all of the great features. We have received many comments from friends asking if we did a kitchen make-over since this built-in looks so nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from not enough power I did not realize when I purchased this combo that the microwave was only 900 watts as opposed to my previous GE that was 1200 I believe. Why would they even consider lower power? I have to add at least another 30 sec or more to make up for that
