Fragrant Beef with Garlic Sauce

This recipe features a simple and savory garlic sauce that works beautifully with tender marinated beef.


    Makes 4 servings

  • 1
    boneless beef top sirloin steak (about 1 1⁄4 pounds)
  • 1/3
    cupteriyaki sauce
  • 10
  • 1/2
    cupbeef broth
  • 4
    cupshot cooked white rice


  1. Place beef in large resealable food storage bag; add teriyaki sauce. Seal bag; turn to coat. Marinate in refrigerator at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
  2. Meanwhile, combine garlic and broth in small saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium. Simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes. Cover and simmer 8 to 9 minutes until garlic is softened.
  3. Transfer to pitcher of KitchenAid ® Torrent ™ Blender. Cover and blend on medium-high speed 5 to 10 seconds or until smooth.
  4. Preheat broiler. Drain beef; reserve marinade. Place beef on rack of broiler pan. Brush with half of reserved marinade. Broil 5 to 6 inches from heat 6 minutes.
  5. Turn beef; brush with remaining marinade. Broil 6 minutes or until desired doneness.
  6. Transfer beef to cutting board; let stand 5 minutes. Cut against the grain into thin slices. Serve with garlic sauce and rice.
