A lot of improvements in this second one. This one does not walk across the counter. The bread dough does not come out of the bowl while mixing. The dough hook is more efficient. I could cut back the mixing time by a third. The electrical plug is grounded. Overall it just works better. More than pleased!

Called customer service and within a couple of minutes they had a replacement on the way along with a FedEx return label. New mixer arrived in about 10 days, old one is on the way back. Good customer service is just as important as a quality product, KitchenAid aced it.

It’s me that have made the messes. Twice I turned the mixer on too fast when mixing ingredients with the flour. Ended up covering me and a lot of my kitchen. Actually lesson learned and a good laugh.
