It does a great job even in my non-stick pans and does not scratch them. I made tomato basil bisque it came out perfect. The addition of the scratch cover allowed me to make my refried beans at a higher temp and still come out perfect and smooth.

Needed a bandaid. The blade is smooth and sits down low so it does a good job cutting. The top can be a bit tricky to lock on or off.
