I used to have the more traditonal square-box-with-a-freeezer on top. Why did I put up with that for so many years! This one just makes so much more sense! The fridge is wider and shallower, with glass shelves, and I can see into it so much better! The doors now have a lot of useful space, and the cripsers are much easier to see into, also. I love the full-width deli/cheese drawer for large things. I opted for having the filtered water tap inside the fridge; you do have to open the door, but I think it's the best use of space. Besides, the door beeps if someone leaves it open-- another great feature.
Having the freezer in a pull out drawer with sliding baskets is much easier, too. A really nice touch is the scoop that comes with the icemaker. It evev has little bracket to hold it.
All in all, a very well designed fridge!

The refrigerator section is wide open for easy access, The door chime is required as visitors dont realise that left door doesnt just close
The freezer handles the requirements but the freezer ice box will not stay shut and every time you open the door, the ice box opens plus sometimes the shut off does not work and there is ice all over

I love the quality and operation of the refrigerator. It is consistently the same temperature - it does not fluctuate and I don't have the cold spots that plagued my old refrigerator. The ice maker is a bit noisy as others have mentioned, but it does not bother me. My trick is to shut it off when it is full and then only restart when it is starting to run low. I love having the various shelves in the freezer so I don't need to constantly move items out of the way. The downside of the cabinet depth style is there is barely enough storage in the freezer for me and this is a one person household. However that is one of the pitfalls of cabinet depth and I knew that before purchasing and I love the look of the French door style.

We are very happy with our purchase. Very roomy freezer w/ 4 sections.
Drawbacks: 1. water filter is $50. and has to be changed at least 3 times a year
2. the ice cube bin has a feature where it adheres to the front of the pull out drawer. It works sometimes but mostly not. Not a big deal but it should work all the time. Perhaps the magnet is not strong enough.
it is our first automatic ice maker fridge. We love that feature.
Easy to clean. large crispers with windows are great.
Overall, a really nice fridge.

I've been using my new fridge since October 2012 and I love it. This is my first counter depth fridge and i'm very impressed with the room inside the fridge. Nothing seems to be at the back of the fridge, you have easy access to everything. The filtration system for the drinking water in the fridge is amazing, I've never had such good tasting water. The filter has lasted for quite a while as well.
