Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It! I haven't had much chance to use but I love the concept so far. I wish they made more pans to work with it but that is coming, I'm sure.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Scratches Extremely disappointed. This unit surface scratches just by using it. The glass surface does not appear to be manufactured correctly. Called KitchenAid and they are not willing to do anything. How can a cook top that comes in direct contact with pots scratch so easily? I'm using brand new Al-clad pots. Pots are made of recommended material in KitchenAid's Use & Care guide.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I should of tested it out first We have been using this cooktop for about four months now and I wish I would of tested it out first before spending the money. My kids won't use it, I seem to burn everything on it and I'm a great cook. It also makes a loud buzzing and clicking sounds that drive us crazy. It also has an annoying beeping sound when you remove a pan and turn it off. It's hard to keep clean.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Induction is the Best! We have KitchenAid Induction in both of our homes. My wife will not go back to gas. We will be purchasing a home with a high-end gas "commercial" cooktop. Before moving in, we will be replacing the gas unit with a 36" induction from KitchenAid. If someone justs reads the instructions, they will know that the cookware is critical for effective performance!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE the cooktop! Absolutely love the cooktop - boils water in under 2 minutes, easy to clean, looks amazing!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Real Time Saver! I bought this about a month ago to replace the electric top. More than anything else, the time savings to prepare dinner is awesome. It look great, easy to clean and performs great. My only negative is that I don't like the temperature adjustment for ease of use. I don't care for holding my finger and dragging the digital slide bar. I would have preferred a "touch/tap" style better...think it would be easier and more exacting.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I Do Not Love the Clicking Not in love with the constant clicking and magnetic wave sounds. i would have totally preferred a gas stove over the new next big deal stuff. I bought KitchenAid pots and pans with hopes that the clicking would stop... it didn't. Kind of my only disappointment in the new kitchen.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not my best purchase! I wish I had set up kitchen for gas cooktop, as this induction cooktop is "not my cup of tea". A lot of our expensive pots & pans don't work with this cooktop & it is very frustrating & tough to use this cooktop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Cooktop! This cooktop is awesome! Easy to use and works as it is advertised. Boils water in less than 1 minute. Induction is definitely the way to go! It doesn't cool down quite as fast as I had expected but none the less it cools down way faster than a regular cooktop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Who needs gas? We are unable to have gas connected to our home so we replaced our electric cooktop with the Kitchenaid 36" induction cooktop. The elements heat up REALLY quickly and cook evenly. There had been some feedback from others that there was a lot of "clicking" underneath the pans, and there is some, but it is very minor and not an issue. Cooks like a champ and cleans up easily. Can't have gas? Who needs it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very clean and sleek looking This appliance is a god send for our house. My wife and I are adjusting to this time saving device and enjoying using it. For me it is fun to cook and experiment with new recipes again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Not happy with this product. From day one it hasn't performed as I was expecting. When cooking, unless the burner is set to over 6 it will not produce consistent heat instead it pulses off an on causing it to take longer to cook. So cooking consistently at a low temperature is not possible. The more burners I use the worse it is. I called customer service thinking it was maybe hooked up wrong or the power was not correct. However they came out and told me that because a cast iron skillet worked it was a problem with my pans. The Caphalon pans I purchased specifically for the cooktop and were some of their top of the line pans. So I contacted Caphalon about the pans and they had not had any issues and asked me to send them in to determine if they were defective and they were not. I also took my pans to a neighbors and tried my pans on their jenn-air induction cooktop and the pans worked like a dream. So after a complete remodel I am stuck with a cooktop I hate. Left more than disappointed. On one positive note I also purchased a Kitchenaid refrigerator and dishwasher that I have been very pleased with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Takes some getting used to induction cooking After determining which of my pans were compatible with induction cooking, I found it somewhat easy to use. The heat control is near instantaneous. Coming from a gas stove, that's what I was looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stove A great stove. Our first induction unit, so it takes a bit to get used to cooking differently. But have been pleasantly surprised by how well it works. Wish we had bought this year's ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Gas I thought I wanted a gas cooktop for our new home but living on an island w/ o natural gas made that a problem. Our contractor who said "gee induction, it's better than gas". Well he was right. Easy clean up and great and fast temperature control.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great cooktop, awesome performance, poor quality I'm sad to say that after 3.75 years this cooktop died. Called local repair shops in Angie's List but none worked on these induction cooktops. Reluctantly called Whirlpool / KitchenAid and they dispatched Diamond Factory Service who I have had very mixed experiences with in the past. Fortunately this tech who was sent was great. The good news - the $680 part is under warranty. The bad news - 2 weeks not being able to use it and $220 of labor that I have to pay for out of pocket. I like Whirlpool/KitchenAid, so much so that everything in my kitchen is KitchenAid except the microwave, but I'm afraid the quality - even since bringing manufacturing back to the US - isn't what it used to be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality and useful features I bought this appliance 2 months ago and had never used a conduction stove before. I love this appliance its easy to clean, attractive, very easy to use and I can't think of anything I don't like about it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great while it works I bought this cooktop in 2014 along with a double oven, downdraft vent and refrigerator for my newly constructed home. The cooktop just suddenly quit working -- does not power on -- was fine one day and dead the next. I have already had to have the ice maker in the freezer and the downdraft vent serviced and am waiting for service for the cooktop. Very disappointed by KitchenAid -- appliances look great but reliability not so much.
