It's a little big for everyday use so a 5 quart is better for daily tasks. I could not live in the kitchen with out my Kitchenaid! May 14, 2013

I am an appliance junky and this it by far my favorite. I am a new home owner who loves to cook and bake. My mom bought my KitchenAid®. She had one for 30 years and it is still going but she suggested going with the pro series with larger motor and I am not sorry. The only critique I have for it is that it is difficult to latch into place at first. After a dozen or so uses it does become easier though. May 14, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by LittleBits Power is a good thing! I purchased this mixer for the extra power offered for mixing heavy doughs. While the power is significantly greater than my previous mixer, the sound of the motor is a bit odd. It has a slightly higher pitch and actually sounds like it might be "loose". As I said, it doesn't seem to affect the power at all, but it is a little offputting to listen. If sound shielding of some sort were included, I think it would make for a better experience. One other note, while being able to lift the bowl up to the beater head is useful, it is not always the best way to deal with scrapping the sides, even with the beater having a scrapper edge. It's not a problem per se, just something that takes getting used to. May 14, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Carry I am enjoying the bigger mixing capacity I purchased this because I make 11-14 cup batches of bread and was in need of a larger mixer. My only concern, as with my smaller Kitchen Aid is the dough hook likes to wrap up to the top of the hook. May 14, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Imamoth Overall, fantastic Love the mixer; functionally it works very well and is able to handle my large/double/triple batches of cake/cookie/frosting with ease. The motor is very quiet and doesn't heat up like my previous mixer's did. The only issue I've experienced is that the knob cover for the tilt lever keeps falling off. Doesn't affect performance, though. May 14, 2013
